Built on thirty years of tradition, we bridge the gap between local talent and the global classical stage, connecting students with world-class mentors.

This video captures a performance by our choir at the historic Afghan Church. It showcases the high standard of musicianship within our foundation and the unique performance opportunities available to our community.

Our choir members engage in a fun-filled workshop at Udayachal School. This demonstrates our commitment to community outreach and sharing the joy of music beyond our own classrooms.

We are proud of our association with world-class musicians like Professor Sandeep Bhagwati. Our network provides a rich resource of mentorship and inspiration, connecting our community to the global stage of classical music.

Indian-born Danish conductor Maria Badstue is an inspiration. Her connection to our foundation and the broader Indian classical music scene highlights the global pathways our students and teachers can aspire to.

Soprano Patricia Maria Rozario, who began her journey in Mumbai, is a testament to the talent nurtured in India. Her work in founding a vocal institute mirrors our own mission of high-quality music education.

International pianist and professor Marialena Fernandes is another luminary with roots in Mumbai. Her dedication to intercultural exchange and music pedagogy aligns perfectly with our foundation's core values.

Conductor Debashish Chaudhuri represents the success of Indian talent on the world stage. His passion for exploring music inspired by India is a wonderful example of the 'East meets West' ethos we celebrate.

Pianist Fali Pavri, who trained at the Moscow Conservatory, is a sought-after teacher and performer. His involvement in our masterclasses provides our community with access to world-class instruction.

Renowned violinist Ralph de Souza has been a mentor to students at our foundation. His journey from the Yehudi Menuhin School to the world stage is an inspiring example for our aspiring musicians.

Internationally acclaimed violinist Harvey de Souza, who also hails from Mumbai, serves as a mentor to our senior students. His connection to the foundation underscores our commitment to providing top-tier guidance.

About Our Legacy and Esteemed Faculty

Learning here is defined by direct interaction with world-class musicians. We bridge the distance for our Mumbai students, ensuring that mentorship comes not just from our local instructors, but from international performers who return to lead masterclasses and choir sessions.

Our foundation is built upon a philosophy of 'East meets West', fostering a space where the rigorous traditions of Western classical music thrive in Mumbai. For three decades, we have maintained a direct link between our community and the global stage.

Mentorship and Global Connections

We believe that true education happens when students engage with experts who have walked the path of a professional musician. Our community regularly benefits from the guidance of internationally acclaimed artists. You will find maestros like pianist Fali Pavri, conductor Maria Badstue, and soprano Patricia Maria Rozario within our network. Whether it is a masterclass led by violinist Harvey de Souza or a workshop with Professor Sandeep Bhagwati, our students gain insights from those who are active in the international concert circuit.

Pedagogical Approach

Our teaching is grounded in the Kodály method, a technique that prioritizes inner hearing and audiation over rote memorization. This is not a passive experience. Whether you are enrolling in our Discover Music classes or our teacher training modules led by experts like Naheed Shimala, you will find a focus on movement, singing, and practical application. We reject rigid, dry lecturing in favour of interactive learning that utilizes movement, percussion, and sensory aids.

Community and Performance

Beyond the studio, we provide our students with the environment to test their skills. From performances at the historic Afghan Church to grander stages like the NCPA, we prioritize real-world experience. Our faculty and guest mentors serve as bridges, allowing students to understand not just how to play an instrument, but how to perform, collaborate, and contribute to the longevity of Western classical music.
