Meet the Gurus at Myna Academy
Our mentors are more than just teachers—they are active artists and storytellers here to guide your personal musical journey.
Meet Milind Singh, our Head of Music. Rooted in Indian classical music with training from respected maestros, he brings a rare depth and sensitivity to his Vocal Light Music classes for adults, balancing tradition with technique.
Meet Sanjay Parghi, our piano mentor. With years of experience as a musician and sound engineer, he believes in building strong foundations and nurturing musical sensitivity, helping students find their own voice through the keys.
Meet Amanda Ferreira, our Western vocal mentor. She believes every voice has a story to tell and focuses on helping you find your voice and bring every song to life with confidence, one note at a time.
Meet Sujesh Menon, our Carnatic music guru. A trained vocalist and percussionist who has studied under noted gurus and collaborated with artists like Shankar Mahadevan, he leads our weekly Carnatic training for all ages.

About this collection
The teachers here aren't just academics; they are working musicians who understand that music is a part of your daily routine, not an extra burden. Whether you're working on Hindustani sur (melody) with Debalina or technical piano skills with Sanjay, they focus on consistent, joyful riyaaz rather than rushing you toward exams. If you have specific goals like Trinity certification, they can guide you, but the priority is always helping you find your own voice and confidence first.
At Myna, we believe the right teacher makes all the difference. Our gurus come from diverse backgrounds—from classical masters to sound engineers—and they share a common goal: making art feel accessible. We keep our batch sizes small, usually between 3 to 5 students, so you aren't just another face in the room. This ensures that whether you are a complete beginner nervous about your first note or an experienced student looking to refine your technique, your mentor provides direct, one-on-one feedback during every session.
Our teaching philosophy is built on 'Happiness through Expression.' We avoid the rigid, high-pressure environments often found in traditional music academies. Instead, our gurus use a mix of structured training and play-based learning to keep things engaging. For our vocal students, this means mastering vocal culture, pronunciation, and the nuances of Hindustani ragas. For our instrumentalists, it means building a strong foundation in scales, chords, and rhythm that allows you to eventually play your favorite songs with ease.
Most importantly, our mentors are active practitioners. They don't just teach the theory; they share the reality of the industry. They are here to help you navigate your own learning curve at a pace that feels right for you, ensuring that the music you learn stays with you long after the session ends.
