A look into our approach: blending a 30-year legacy with interactive, Kodály-based training for children and aspiring educators in Mumbai.

We believe music education should be full of life and movement. Here, our students are learning about pulse and coordination through the "Banana Banana" song, a fun and energetic activity that combines singing with physical actions. This is a core example of the playful Kodály-based techniques you will master.

Our training is led by UK-based expert Naheed Shimala. This image captures a moment of joyful interaction in one of her sessions, demonstrating how she connects with young learners through expressive singing and hand gestures to teach musical concepts.

This video shows one of our students practicing rhythm dictation. Using percussion claves and visual flashcards, she translates written notation into sound, a fundamental skill we develop in our 'Discover Music' programme. Our training provides you with these exact tools and methods.

True learning is hands-on. Here, a student is deeply focused on creating rhythmic patterns using popsicle sticks. This tactile approach helps demystify music notation, making it an accessible and engaging activity for children.

Collaboration and community are central to our teaching philosophy. In this activity, students work together, using colourful props to form a heart while learning to maintain a steady pulse through song. It’s a beautiful example of learning music as a shared experience.

Our early-years certification covers teaching even the youngest learners. This photo shows a teacher guiding a toddler with a maraca, demonstrating how we create a nurturing musical bond between the instructor, the child, and sometimes the parent, right from the start.

Our faculty consists of practicing, professional musicians. Here, our piano teacher, Tavan Shah, performs at a Candlelight Concert in New Delhi. As a trainee, you will learn from instructors who are not only skilled educators but also accomplished artists.

We are an institution built on a 30-year legacy of nurturing a love for Western classical music in Mumbai. This feature in the Mumbai Mirror highlights our journey and commitment to musical excellence, a tradition you will become a part of.

About Featured

We believe music is not just taught, but experienced. In these sessions, you will find that we move beyond textbooks to prioritize hands-on engagement, using movement, percussion, and Kodály principles to ensure that fundamental concepts like pulse and rhythm are internalized rather than just memorized.
