Real Yoga Journeys and Student Success Stories
Yoga is a personal path, and every student's journey is different. Here, I share the honest stories of how my students found strength, healing, and confidence through a practice that is truly their own.
Hearing stories like Krina's fills my heart with so much gratitude. It was an honor to guide her through her nine-month prenatal journey, modifying sessions for her needs and watching her grow in confidence. This is why I love teaching prenatal yoga.
It brings me so much joy to see my students grow. This is Nirvika, sharing her experience of how we work together, finding modifications for injuries and building physical and mental strength. My goal is to help you stay on the mat, no matter what.
Guiding women through the magical phase of motherhood is a true blessing. This is Mrunmayi, who I worked with during her seventh month of pregnancy. She shares how our prenatal sessions and breathing exercises helped ease her body aches and labor.
About My Students' Journeys
These stories are not about mastering a perfect pose. They show how we adapt every session to handle physical constraints, such as prenatal support or injury recovery, ensuring you stay on the mat safely. My focus is always on your individual progress, comfort, and listening to what your body needs that day.
Progress Over Perfection
I often tell my students, 'Yoga se sab Hoga' (Everything is possible with yoga), but that doesn't mean forcing your body into shapes it isn't ready for. The students featured here came to me with specific needs—some were navigating pregnancy, others were managing persistent back pain or recovering from injuries.
How We Customize Your Practice
- Prenatal Support: As you'll see in the journeys of Krina and Mrunmayi, my prenatal sessions are designed to evolve with each trimester. We focus on pelvic floor engagement, breathing for labor, and relieving the aches that come with carrying weight.
- Therapeutic Modification: For students like Nirvika, we focus on 'finding a way' to keep moving despite injuries. Whether it is using blocks, straps, or chair support, we find a variation that allows you to work through the issue without causing strain.
Your Unique Path
My goal is to create a space where you feel seen and heard. If you are having a low-energy day or dealing with stress, we pivot the class to calming breathwork and gentle flows. It is all about 'Sabr aur Shukr'—having the patience to listen to your body and the gratitude to appreciate the small wins every day.
If you have been feeling hesitant to start because of an injury or because you think you aren't 'flexible enough', please reach out. We will start where you are, taking baby steps together.
Mayura Pednekar
I'm Mayura. For me, teaching yoga is about witnessing the beautiful shifts in my students—whether it’s a mom-to-be finding comfort in her third trimester or someone finding freedom after an injury. I don't believe in one-size-fits-all, so my classes are always designed around what you need on the mat today.
