About The Story of MCBA
We do not just teach you how to throw a punch. My journey from 157 fights to opening this academy taught me that true boxing is 10 percent physical technique and 90 percent mindset. When you step into our ring, you are not just learning to box; you are building the focus and self-belief to handle stress in your daily life. It is the same discipline that I teach my national-level medalists.
Boxing at MCBA is not about fancy gym equipment or quick fixes. It is about the akhada culture. I built Marine Centre Boxing Academy in Vashi to be exactly what I needed when I was coming up: a space dedicated strictly to American-style boxing. No distractions, no combat sports mixing, just pure technique.
My mentor, Capt. Partho Das, showed me the power of selfless support when he helped me get to the US for training. Now, I run my academy with the same mission. Whether you are a shy teenager, a corporate professional, or someone looking for a real physical challenge, the process is the same. We focus on fundamentals like guard, footwork, and balance before we ever talk about power.

Why only boxing? Mixing disciplines dilutes the skill. To be a real boxer, you need specific footwork and defensive angles that do not translate if you are doing karate or kickboxing at the same time.
Do I need to be fit before joining? You come here to get fit, not to arrive ready. We start with conditioning through Indian pushups and floor exercises that build strength naturally. You will see a physical transformation within three months if you stay disciplined with your diet and training.
Is this for me if I just want to lose weight? Absolutely. Boxing is the most intense cardio you will ever do. But unlike a treadmill session, it keeps your mind engaged. You will burn calories while learning a skill that could one day save your life.
