A look at our signature projects where narrative meets craft, blending modern hospitality with the soul of Indian artisanship.

The bar at Biergarten is defined by this oversized, handwoven light fixture, a collaboration with weavers from Kerala. This single element acts as the focal point for the entire microbrewery, demonstrating how we use custom craft to create memorable hospitality experiences.

In the award winning ZLB23 speakeasy, we created intimate seating nooks that draw guests into the story. The design layers rich textures, from velvet sofas to a custom Japanese graphic wallpaper, to build a sophisticated and mysterious atmosphere perfect for a hidden jazz and cocktail bar.

The main dining hall at Brassa is designed to feel bright, airy, and connected to the outdoors. The grand barrel-vaulted ceiling and large arched window create a sense of scale, while lush greenery and natural materials make the space feel welcoming and serene.

At Lucky Chan, we used a ceiling installation of 180 handcrafted Channapatna modules to create a playful, immersive environment. The reflection in the mirrored beams creates an infinite pattern, transforming the ceiling into a key feature of this modern dim sum and sushi parlour.

This is where design comes to life. An artisan's hands meticulously weave cane onto the framework for the Biergarten light fixture. This behind the scenes view shows the dedication and skill involved in our collaborative craft process.

A feature wall at Brassa showcases handmade terracotta tiles from the Kumbhar potters of Kutch. We collaborated with the artisans to create this custom relief pattern, turning a simple wall into a testament to local craftsmanship and material.

We are incredibly proud that our project, ZLB23, was awarded 'Best Bar Design' by 30 Best Bars India. This recognition validates our narrative driven approach to creating unique and impactful hospitality spaces.

To create a sense of intimacy within the large Biergarten brewery, we designed these cozy seating booths. The warm, earthy palette of terracotta, wood, and ochre lime plaster provides a comfortable and elevated setting for guests to connect.

About Featured

We replace generic decor with direct collaborations with craft communities, such as the weavers in Kerala or the potters of Kutch. This means a 10,000 sq.ft. brewery like Biergarten gets a custom light fixture that anchors the entire room rather than a store-bought piece, ensuring the space feels personal and rooted in real heritage.

Our studio operates on the belief that a hospitality space—whether a microbrewery, a speakeasy, or a boutique hotel—should feel like a story waiting to unfold. We start every project with a narrative rather than a styleboard. This guides the entire vibe, mood, and spatial flow.

Craft-Led Design

We intentionally work with local craftspeople even when it requires additional time and logistical coordination. For example, at Lucky Chan, we integrated 180 handcrafted Channapatna modules into the ceiling to create an immersive environment. The mirrors we added to the beams reflect these modules to infinity, completely changing the perception of the space.

Materiality and Atmosphere

We prefer natural materials like Sadharalli granite, terracotta, and warm woods over synthetic alternatives.

  • Biergarten: We used dense terracotta and ochre lime plaster to make a large, expansive brewery feel intimate.
  • ZLB23: For this Kyoto-inspired speakeasy, we relied on deep burgundy reds, velvet, and intricate wood carvings to construct a mysterious, sensory experience.
  • Brassa: We collaborated with the Kumbhar potters of Kutch to create a custom relief pattern on the walls, grounding the botanical, light-filled dining hall in authentic Indian craft.

Our process is highly technical, involving detailed construction drawings for complex joinery, acoustics, and service integration. We manage everything from the macro-zoning of large floor plates to the specific lighting strategy that defines a mood. If you want a space that feels lived-in and honest, we are here to discuss your vision.
