A look at the spaces where narrative meets structure. From boutique hotels in Goa to cozy cafés in Delhi, these projects define my approach to soulful, story-driven architecture.

This corner in our Seoul Restaurant project captures the essence of our design approach. We created a sunken seating area with low tables to foster a sense of togetherness, reflecting traditional Korean dining culture. The large window connects the intimate interior with the lush greenery outside, grounding the experience in nature and calm.

For Echoes Café, we transformed a challenging layout into a series of intimate, soulful corners. This nook, with its rubble-clad walls, arched window, and plush armchair, feels collected over time. It is a space designed not just for a meal, but for a moment of quiet reflection.

In our Goan project, Unallome, we embraced the philosophy of "susegad" or slow living. This bedroom is a testament to that, using a simple palette of natural materials like cane and wood, complemented by a hand-painted mural. It is a serene retreat designed for rest and connection.

This rendering from our conceptual project, Skyro, showcases our ability to build immersive worlds. Here, we imagined a double-height space with a central fountain and soaring columns, blending mythical grandeur with the raw textures of nature to create a truly transportive dining journey.

It is always an honor to see our stories recognized. This feature in Architectural Digest India for the Seoul Restaurant highlights our approach to blending Japandi minimalism with the warmth of Korean hospitality, creating a space that is both culturally rooted and functionally elegant.

Materiality is central to my work. At Unallome in Goa, the bar is crafted from a thick slab of salvaged wood, preserving its natural texture and history. Paired with simple line art and open shelving, it becomes a focal point that feels both rustic and refined.

The entrance to Seoul Restaurant sets the stage for the entire dining narrative. We designed traditional latticed wooden doors under a classic tiled roof to create an authentic threshold, inviting guests to step out of the everyday and into a carefully crafted cultural experience.

At Echoes, every detail contributes to the story. A bold floral tapestry serves as a backdrop for a curated collection of framed art, creating a rich, layered wall. This maximalist approach feels personal and lived-in, turning a simple dining corner into a conversation piece.

About Featured

I don't just fill rooms, I build conversations between the space and the people in it. Whether it is a tiny café layout or a boutique hotel site, I treat every space like a person with a history. You will notice that none of these projects look like copy-paste designs, because I treat structural limitations—those awkward pillars or odd corners—as the unique skeleton of the final narrative.

Architecture is never just about the final render. It is about how the light hits a specific wall in the afternoon or how a guest moves through a space. My work spans from the rugged, slow-living ethos of Unallome in Goa to the cultural synthesis found in our Seoul Restaurant project in Delhi.

When we work together, we start with your story. I look for the vernacular influences that belong in your context, using natural materials like cane, salvaged wood, and rubble stone to ground the design in reality. We avoid the urge to chase fleeting trends. Instead, we focus on function—like the kitchen exhaust integration at Seoul or the intimate seating zones at Echoes—ensuring that the space performs as beautifully as it looks.

Whether you are building a boutique property from the ground up or renovating a commercial space, I bring a hands-on approach that values integrity over flash. We manage the entire process, from floor plans to the final texture, ensuring that your vision is built with the precision it deserves.

I am Ritika Rakhiani, and I believe design is a dialogue. I don't chase trends. I find the heart of a site—whether it is a tiny café in Delhi or a B&B in Goa—and build a story around it.
