Aeronautics & Rocketry Workshops for Kids
From stomp rockets to fighter jets, we help kids explore the science of flight by actually building it themselves. No textbooks—just tools, materials, and plenty of launches.
A fleet of stomp rockets, built and ready for launch! Each camper makes their own, learning about aerodynamics and pressure before the exciting outdoor launch session.
Our stomp rocketry workshop is a blast! We take the kids outside to a safe, open area to launch the rockets they built, learning about trajectory and force.
Young rocketeers prepare for launch! Our stomp rocketry activity gets kids outdoors to test the paper rockets they designed and built.
A quick break before the next launch. These campers are enjoying the outdoor part of our stomp rocketry workshop.
An instructor demonstrates the principles of flight using a fighter jet model. We then guide the kids as they build and customize their own jets.
Teamwork in action as kids work together to assemble their wooden fighter jet models from laser-cut pieces.
A group of proud pilots showing off the fighter jet models they have just finished assembling.
Kids are deeply engaged in building their fighter jet models, carefully fitting the interlocking wooden pieces together.
From a flat sheet of wood to a 3D fighter jet. We guide our campers through the assembly process, piece by piece.
Once the fighter jets are built, it is time for customization! Campers use their imagination and a splash of paint to make their models unique.
About Aeronautics & Rocketry
Every session starts with a blank piece of MDF or a paper kit. We teach kids how to use assembly techniques to build functional fighter jets and gliders, and then we take them outside to test aerodynamics in the real world. Your child won't just learn the theory of flight; they'll feel the tension of a rubber band launch or the pressure of a stomp rocket lift-off.
Why flight school should be messy
We believe you can't learn aerodynamics by reading a diagram. At our Vidyaranyapura lab, the floor gets a little messy because that’s what happens when you’re busy building real prototypes.
What we build
- Stomp Rocketry: We teach the physics of trajectory and force outdoors. Kids construct their own paper rockets, adjust the fins, and then stomp on the launch pad to see how high they can soar. It’s a great way to understand how air pressure works without a single lecture.
- Aeromodelling & Jet Models: We use laser-cut wooden pieces that kids assemble, sand, and customize. While they’re building their own F/A-18 or glider models, we talk about structure and weight distribution. Once the assembly is solid, it's time to paint. Every kid takes home their own hand-built model, which is usually the highlight of their day.
Designed for all levels
Whether your child is 4 or 14, we keep groups small so everyone gets the help they need. The little ones focus on the craft and assembly, while older innovators might tinker with balance or structural reinforcement. Everything you see—the gliders, the rockets, the fighter jets—is built right here in the lab.
