Woodworking and Creative Engineering Workshops
Watch your child trade screens for real tools. We teach kids to build, fix, and create functional models like birdhouses and catapults in our North Bangalore maker space.
Our carpentry workshop is for everyone! We guide kids through the process of building their own projects, like these wooden crates, from start to finish.
From sanding wood to hammering nails, our woodworking workshops are all about hands-on learning. We ensure a safe environment for kids to explore their building skills.
Even our youngest campers get to experience the thrill of making. With careful supervision and age-appropriate tasks, this little engineer is learning how to use a hand drill.
In our woodworking sessions at Ekya Nava school, students learn practical skills like measuring and cutting wood to create their own unique wooden figures.
We teach kids how to use a measuring tape and other tools to build awesome projects like these articulated wooden robots. It is a great way to learn about mechanics and design.
A woodworking day is a day of focus and creation. This camper is proudly showing off the wooden crate he built himself, from cutting the pieces to final assembly.
Our woodworking workshops teach kids how to build functional and beautiful items like this lantern. They learn to use various tools and see their hard work light up.
About this collection
Unlike typical craft classes, we use real engineering tools like C-clamps, hand drills, and measuring tapes. Whether your child is 4 or 14, we guide them through the mechanics of their build, ensuring they leave with a working model—not just a project that sits on a shelf.
At Little Wings, we believe that 'doing' is the best way to learn. Our maker space in North Bangalore isn't a classroom; it is a workshop designed for kids to test their ideas and solve problems through physical construction.
How Our Workshops Work
We keep our batches small, typically 8 to 12 children. This ensures that every camper, whether shy or outgoing, gets the attention they need to handle tools safely. Our woodworking and creative engineering modules focus on fundamental skills like measuring, cutting, and assembly, but the real goal is to give children the confidence to bring their designs to life.
Projects and Skills
Your child will work with real materials—MDF, balsa wood, and various fasteners—to build items like:
- Functional Structures: Birdhouses, lanterns, and wooden crates that look and work like the real thing.
- Mechanical Models: Catapults, sail cars, and wooden robots that demonstrate kinetic and potential energy.
We provide all necessary safety gear, including goggles, and closely supervise the use of every tool, from sandpaper and hammers to hand drills. Most sessions result in a tangible, working object that the child takes home, reinforcing the satisfaction of building something with their own hands.
Who This Is For
These workshops are ideal for curious minds aged 4 to 14. We split groups by age so the projects match your child's developmental stage. Younger kids focus on tactile, playful engineering, while older campers tackle more complex assembly and mechanical challenges. All participants receive a certificate of completion, acknowledging their hard work as a junior innovator.
Little Wings Innovation Labs
Hi, I'm Rahul. My buddy Daniel and I started Little Wings because I was that kid who had to break things just to see how they worked. We built this maker space so your child can get their hands dirty, use real tools, and actually build the ideas they dream up.
