Science & Art Explorations for Kids

We believe creativity is the best way to learn science. Our sessions help kids understand concepts like light, physics, and astronomy by building functional models they take home.

A young girl proudly shows off the kaleidoscope she just finished making. This project is a beautiful blend of art and the science of light and reflection.

A classroom full of young astronomers, each painting the planets for their own solar system model. This is a fun, hands-on way to learn about our universe.

Our little astronomers proudly hold up the solar system models they built and painted. It is a fantastic project that they get to take home and show off.

Kids are deeply engaged in painting their planets, a key part of our solar system building workshop. Each child gets to be creative while learning planetary science.

A group of boys proudly display their finished solar system models, complete with all the planets they learned about.

An instructor helps students arrange their painted planets correctly on their solar system models.

Happy faces and completed solar system models! This project is always a hit, combining painting, assembly, and a lesson in astronomy.

About this collection

When we make a solar system model, it is not just about painting the planets. We focus on the assembly and the scale of the orbit, using MDF kits that kids build themselves. Because our rule is that you take what you build home, your child leaves the session with a tangible, functional model they are proud to display on their desk.

Science can feel abstract, but art makes it tangible. In our Science & Art Explorations workshops, we bridge the gap between creative expression and logical thinking. A child who builds a kaleidoscope is not just following a template—they are learning about the physics of light, reflection, and symmetry by testing different angles and materials.

We structure these sessions for ages 4 to 14, dividing them into groups so the complexity matches their age. Younger kids focus on fine motor skills and sensory play, while older students dive into the mechanics behind the art. Whether it is sculpting planets or constructing optical toys, the emphasis is always on using real materials—wood, gears, motors, and paints—instead of pre-made plastic toys. Every workshop is designed to answer that classic 'how does it work?' question by letting them build the answer from scratch.

We keep our batches small, typically 8 to 12 children, which ensures everyone gets the time they need to finish their project. They do not just watch an instructor; they use the sandpaper, the glue, and the tools themselves. By the end, they walk out with a project they put together, boosting their confidence and giving them a physical memento of the concepts they just learned.

Little Wings Innovation Labs

Innovation Lab at BEL Layout, VidyaranyapuraStarting ₹900 Per Child / Per Workshop

I'm Rahul, and along with Daniel, we started Little Wings to create the kind of maker space I wished I had as a kid. We do not just teach theory—we put real tools in children's hands to build, break, and fix their own projects.
