STEM & Maker’s Lab Workshops for Kids
We swap boring lectures for messy, hands-on science. From building race cars to engineering cardboard cities, we turn curious kids into young creators.
Fun learning at its best. Our DIY Race Car workshop had kids completely engrossed as they built their own cars from kits and then raced them. The sense of achievement was incredible.
A glimpse of the focused fun at our Gruffalo STEAM playdate. Kids are seen working on grid-based puzzles and activities that bring the story to life through science and art.
More creative moments from our Gruffalo Child STEAM playdate. Here, kids and parents work together to craft their own Gruffalo characters using clay and other materials, blending storytelling with hands-on making.
Celebrating Rainforest Day with an innovative STEM workshop. Kids made clouds in jars, created dioramas, and even built intruder alarms, all inspired by the book "The Boy Who Grew a Forest".
A day of food art and science. This workshop was a sensory explosion, with kids conducting fun food experiments, making their own "conewich" art, and learning the science behind their favorite treats.
Highlights from our workshop where kids crafted awesome cars from waste materials. They dived into the world of DIY, using glue guns and simple tools to turn recycled items into cool vehicles.
A collage from our Gruffalo STEAM Playdate, filled with storytelling, creature crafts, and mini puzzles. It was a laughter-filled session where kids and parents participated and enjoyed thoroughly.
More happy faces from the Gruffalo STEAM Playdate. Here, kids and parents are creating habitats for their creature crafts, combining elements of science, engineering, and art.
The joy of creating together is evident in these photos from our Gruffalo playdate. Parents and children proudly show off the mini Gruffalo characters they sculpted from dough.
A poster for our Makers Lab summer camp, presented with Little Wings Innovators. The camp covered exciting projects like building an aeroplane launcher, stomp rocketry, weaving, and making a birdhouse.
About STEM & Maker's Lab
At our Jakkur studio, every child becomes an inventor. Whether we are constructing stomp rockets, designing aeroplane launchers, or building circuit-powered toys, the focus is always on understanding the 'how' and 'why' behind the build. You do not need to bring any materials or tools, as we provide everything required. Each participant takes home their unique project, giving them a tangible sense of accomplishment that lasts long after the session ends.
Beyond Theory: The BOB Maker Philosophy
We believe science and engineering are best learned through movement and creation. Our STEM & Maker’s Lab cluster is designed for children who want to get their hands messy and minds racing. Instead of staring at screens or textbooks, kids spend their time with glue guns, soldering tools, clay, and recycled materials.
What We Build
Our workshops vary based on themes and age groups (5-16 years), but the core remains the same: project-based learning.
- Aerodynamics: Designing race cars and aeroplane launchers to understand thrust and gravity.
- Structures: Cardboard City building sessions where kids act as architects, planning and constructing their own miniature buildings.
- Electronics & Circuitry: Creating working toys like intruder alarms or light-up art, introducing basic electrical concepts.
- Nature & Science: Combining stories like 'The Boy Who Grew a Forest' with hands-on dioramas and cloud-in-a-jar experiments.
The BOB Difference
When you book a session with us, you are joining a small, focused group (usually 6-15 participants). This ensures that every child gets the attention they need to safely handle tools and solve problems. We collaborate with experts, including STEM educators and creative artists, to bring fresh, unpredictable projects to the table. Our space in Jakkur is designed to be a shoe-free, floor-seating zone where kids feel comfortable to experiment without the pressure of a formal classroom. Whether it is a weekend hobby class or a multi-day summer camp, our goal is to foster a 'habba' (festival) atmosphere where curiosity is the main event.
Bond Over Bindings
I am Neha, and at Bond Over Bindings, we believe learning should be a messy, joyous adventure. My team and I love creating spaces here in Jakkur where kids can get their hands dirty while building everything from race cars to intruder alarms. It is all about sparking that lightbulb moment through creation, not rote memorization.
