Yin Yoga Workshops & Mindful Movement
Come as you are to my cozy, candlelit workshops in Bangalore and Jaipur. We’ll slow down with long Yin Yoga holds, Taoist readings, and shared tea to help you release deep tension.
A glimpse into the warm and welcoming atmosphere of one of my recent Yin Yoga classes in Jaipur. It was a beautiful success, filled with gentle movement and shared quiet.
A selfie with the wonderful group from a recent tea tasting and Yin Yoga class. The energy in the room was so positive, and I am grateful for everyone who shared the journey with me.
This was from my "Busy Backsons" workshop at Shoonya, a space dedicated to helping us slow down. The session focused on deep rest and releasing the tension that comes from our busy, ambition-filled lives.
A short video capturing the serene, meditative environment of my wellness session at YogYug. We combined grounding Yin flows with playful moments of creativity and connection.
Participants using bolsters and pillows to find comfort and depth in a forward fold. My classes emphasize using props to support the body, allowing for a deeper release and relaxation.
A look at the "Busy Backsons" workshop, from the poster to the peaceful Savasana (rest pose) at the end. These workshops are a deep dive into Taoist philosophy and mindful, restorative movement.
From sunny Coonoor, I am inviting you to an upcoming workshop focused on releasing tension in the spine. These sessions are perfect if you carry stress in your upper, middle, or lower back.
Here I explain the flow of my "Cosy Up to the Quiet" workshop. Each session is thoughtfully structured with conversation, meditation, a long physical practice, and deep rest.
I am inviting you to a 2.5-hour workshop on finding balance and moderation in life. These longer sessions allow us to truly immerse ourselves in the practice and connect as a group afterward.
Talking about my "Ease the Restlessness" workshop, designed for anyone feeling stressed, whether from exams, work, or life in general. It is about learning tools to handle the pressures we all face.
About In-Person Workshops & Classes
These workshops are not about 'perfect' poses; they are about finding comfort in floor-based shapes. I guide you through 2-5 minute holds, using bolsters and blankets to support your unique anatomy, while we weave in Taoist poetry and journaling. Whether you are dealing with a stiff back or just need to unplug, this is a space to let gravity do the heavy lifting for you.
My Approach to In-Person Practice
I view my workshops as a community gathering rather than a standard fitness class. We meet at spaces like Shoonya in Bangalore or Yog Yug in Jaipur to step away from the rush of daily life. In a world of 'Busy Backsons'—those of us constantly chasing the next reward—my sessions are a permission slip to stop, breathe, and simply be.
What to Expect
- Deep Tissue Release: We focus on the fascia, joints, and ligaments. By holding shapes for longer periods, we access the 'cold' tissues that traditional active yoga often misses.
- Prop-Supported comfort: No two bodies are the same. I encourage using pillows, blocks, and blankets so you can morph the shape to suit your skeletal structure, not the other way around.
- The 'Rebound': After a deep hold, we dedicate time to stillness—what I call the 'rebound'—where you can feel the effects of the release before moving to the next shape.
Diverse Themes
Each session is unique. Sometimes we focus on spinal health with workshops like 'Ease the Restlessness,' and other times we celebrate our daily efforts with 'Tiny Triumphs.' We often end these gatherings with tea, conversation, and a bit of shared quiet. Whether you are a senior, a beginner, or looking for somatic relief from office-induced stress, my sessions are designed to be inclusive and accessible. Come with a mat, comfy clothes, and an open mind.
Navya Sah
Hi, I’m Navya. My life is a bit of a circus between film and yoga, so these sessions are my way of finding ground. I love sharing this gentle, meditative practice where we put aside the 'to-do' list and just let gravity do the work.
