Exploring the Intersection of Film, Sound, and Movement
My days are a mix of sound recording, filmmaking, and somatic dance. It all feeds back into how I teach, helping us find stillness in a busy, noisy world.
I miss dancing, so I took some time to improvise and see how my body feels. Anyone can dance. We just need to be present with ourselves in the moment.
A few moments from my improvisation diaries. Dance is another way I connect with my body and explore the pleasure of movement.

About Additional Work & Passions
People often ask how film and yoga mix. For me, they are the same practice of deep listening. Whether I am teaching sound recording to students at Azim Premji University or practicing improvisational dance to explore my own range of motion, the goal is always presence. When you join my sessions, you get a teacher who understands the mechanics of the body through dance and the power of atmosphere through sound production.
My journey is not linear. I shuttle between the quiet focus of Yin Yoga and the expressive release of dance. This variety is intentional. In my somatic movement sessions, I pull from years of improvisational dance to help you understand your own joints and fascia, not just to stretch, but to listen to what your body is actually asking for.
You might wonder how sound recording fits into a yoga studio. It is all about atmosphere. My background in film and audio production means I am hyper-aware of how a space feels. From the gentle frequency of the music I select to the way I guide you through a session, it is all designed to help you drop the performance and just arrive.
I often collaborate with students and artists to create multimedia works like 'A sweet slumber,' which explores sleep and stillness. These projects are research labs where I test how audio and visual cues change our perception of stress. When we practice together, you aren't just doing a workout. You are entering a space where I bring every bit of my creative experience to support your nervous system. Whether you are curious about my workshops or want to explore how movement can help you get unstuck, let’s have a chat about what you need right now.
