Timing is everything. In this partner drill, I am correcting the student's response time to be faster and more simultaneous with the attack. Block and counter must be one motion.

During pad work drills, I push students to maintain their guard and keep moving. Constant movement and a solid defense are critical for effective self-protection.

Focus is key. I guide students through drills to ensure every strike is intentional and every block is effective. Here we are working on reaction and counter-striking.

About Practical Striking and Defense Drills

In these sessions, we do not just hit the air. You will be using focus mitts and heavy shields to train your striking accuracy and blocking reflexes against a partner. My approach is to strip away unnecessary movements and teach you how to generate force from your stance, ensuring you can land a solid punch or kick even under the stress of a real-world encounter.
