Our toddler community offers a calm, prepared space where children aged 18 months to 2.5 years build confidence through movement and choice. Here, we focus on practical life skills, letting little hands explore at their own pace.

Toddler or teacher? This heartwarming video shows a 2.5-year-old teaching a 2-year-old, perfectly illustrating the peer learning and imitation that happens in our toddler classroom.

A moment of free-flowing creativity as our toddlers engage in imaginative play. Without structured toys, they create their own scenarios, like this "doctor's office," developing social skills and creativity.

What do toddlers do at school? This video shows them exploring nature, singing songs, reading books, and learning from older friends, all part of a day filled with joyful discovery.

About The Toddler Community: First Steps to Independence

In our toddler community, we focus on the real, messy business of growing up—from toilet training to learning to feed oneself. Instead of rushing, we provide the time and tools, like child-sized furniture and low shelves, so your child feels the quiet power of saying, “Naanu maadabahudu” (I can do it myself).

The toddler years are a whirlwind of growth, and at Kriya, we embrace this energy rather than trying to contain it. Our program for children aged 18 months to 2.5 years is designed to transform their natural desire for independence into concrete life skills.

Why the Toddler Community Matters

At this age, children are in a critical period of development where they observe everything. They are watching how you pour water, how you button your shirt, and how you interact with the world. We channel this observation into our 'prepared environment.' Everything is at their level—low shelves, small pitchers, and child-sized aprons—which allows them to choose their work without needing constant adult intervention.

What They Actually Do

  • Practical Life Skills: We guide them through tasks that adults often rush through. This includes peeling fruits, washing hands, and the transition from diapers to using the toilet independently. It takes patience, but this is how focus and fine motor skills are built.
  • Language and Movement: You will hear an explosion of words in our classrooms. We encourage this through songs, stories, and simple conversation. Our space also allows for constant, safe movement, helping them refine their coordination.
  • The 1:6 Advantage: With a high adult-to-child ratio of 1:6, your toddler isn't lost in a crowd. They get the individual attention needed to navigate social boundaries, learn to wait their turn, and feel secure enough to try new things.

Located in Kalyan Nagar, our morning batch is built on the belief that if you give a child the right tools and trust, they will surprise you. We don’t force learning; we invite it.
