We believe the world is the biggest classroom. Join our little explorers as we step out to touch, taste, and experience nature and real-world wonders firsthand.

Our junior masterchefs had a sweet adventure at a chocolate factory. They learned about the chocolate-making process and even made their own lollipops, a delicious and memorable hands-on experience.

A Sunday nature trail in Cubbon Park. Guided by experts, our children and their parents went on a scavenger hunt, identified species, and connected with nature in the heart of the city.

Watch the mix of curiosity and bravery as our children react to meeting a snake for the first time during a visit to an aquarium and reptile exhibit.

Our little explorers on a mango expedition at GKVK Farm. They plucked mangoes, walked through lush greenery, and learned about agriculture firsthand from the gardeners.

This video shows the preparation and the actual field trip to the Indian Music Experience museum. Children first learned about music history in the classroom, then explored the instruments and sounds firsthand.

Children interacting with birds at an aviary. These gentle encounters awaken a sense of foresight and care for living beings, forming a connection that becomes part of their soul.

The journey begins before the field trip. This video shows how we prepare children in the classroom with stories and activities, so they arrive at their destination as curious, informed learners.

The simple wonder of a butterfly landing on a child's hand. We nurture this natural curiosity, allowing children to connect deeply with the world around them.

Little hands, big harvests. This video shows our children gardening, from planting seeds to gathering the vegetables they grew, learning about patience and where our food comes from.

A gallery from our day at the aquarium. The children's faces light up with wonder as they observe the magic of underwater life, from colorful fish to starfish.

About Learning Beyond Walls: Field Trips & Nature

At Kriya, field trips are never random outings. Before we visit a chocolate factory or a nature park, we spend days in the classroom building context with stories, presentations, and hands-on materials. This way, when children finally step out, they are not just observing. They are curious learners ready to connect their classroom lessons to the real world.

Our classroom is only the starting point. At Kriya, we use field trips to ground abstract concepts in reality. When children learn about botany in our school, visiting a farm at GKVK makes the lesson click. When they study the history of instruments in class, a trip to the Indian Music Experience museum transforms names into actual sounds.

We view these experiences through three stages:

  1. Preparation: We build curiosity in the classroom with stories, photos, and initial experiments.
  2. Exploration: The children visit the venue, interacting with the world using all their senses.
  3. Reflection: After the trip, we discuss what we saw, often creating art or simple reports to solidify the memory.

Whether it is observing animal behavior at an aquarium or hand-painting lollipops at a chocolate factory, these excursions help children develop observation skills, empathy for living beings, and a deep appreciation for the world around them. We do not just take them out for fun. We take them out to show them that the world is a giant, beautiful classroom waiting for their questions.
