About Kids' Creative Workshops
Why We Do What We Do
I see creativity as much more than just art. When kids get their hands into clay or play with colors, they're doing more than making things - they're learning patience, problem-solving, and building up that quiet confidence of "I can do this." At Kriya, we always try to follow the child’s pace, letting them explore freely and make mistakes. Our space is calm, open, and set up just for them.
How Our Workshops Work
It’s not only about pretty crafts to take home. The process matters most. Kids learn by doing - whether it’s weaving, painting, chopping, or molding. Along the way, they develop fine motor skills and patience. Sometimes they struggle with a project, but figuring it out is part of the fun. That pride after finishing something on their own? Can’t beat it.
What Kids Get to Explore
Workshops touch on a bit of everything:
- Story-based art sessions like weaving and tie & dye, pottery with our friendly ‘pottery uncle,’ and mixed media wall hangings.
- Hands-on science experiments for kids - making volcanoes erupt, or building simple telescopes.
- DIY craft workshops for children, from kaleidoscopes to planet models.
- Simple cooking and nature art, like making mehendi from our garden, or collecting leaves and seeds for art.
Who Will Like This
Mostly for ages 6 to 12 on weekends, and we have summer camps for 3 to 7-year-olds too. We just ask kids to swalpa try maadi (just have a go) and see what happens. Sometimes, all it takes is that little nudge.

My Story
We’re Kriya Global Montessori. Our place? Not just a school, more like a little world where kids get to be curious, messy, and totally themselves. We set up spaces for them to do real stuff—chop fruits, garden, even wait their turn in Kannada class. We don’t rush, we don’t force. We watch, trust, and let learning happen at its own pace. Kids here? They’re respected, free (with some limits!), and they shine.
My Work
Montessori Programs for All Ages - We offer child-led Montessori for toddlers, primary (Casa), and Montessori elementary program for Grades 1-3.
Hands-On, Real Life Learning - Kids do practical life activities—cooking, gardening, cleaning—plus sensorial stuff that makes ideas real.
Child-Led Learning - We follow the child. Kids pick their work, so learning feels natural, not forced.
Prepared, Calm Environment - Everything’s child-sized and in its place. It’s peaceful, helps focus, and builds independence.
Mixed-Age Classrooms - Older kids help younger ones. Feels like a family, everyone learns together.
Building Life Skills - We care about more than books—kids learn patience, self-awareness, and how to be kind.
Creative Weekend Workshops - Extra workshops for kids 6-12, lots of hands-on, creative stuff.
