Practical Weapon Defense Training: Krav Maga Tactics
We train you for the real world, not the movies. Learn to disarm attackers under pressure using proven Krav Maga techniques.
Facing a gun is about immediate, decisive action. This drill shows the core principle: redirect the line of fire, control the weapon, and counter-attack aggressively. We practice this until it becomes a reflex, removing hesitation when it matters most.
When an attacker comes at you with a stick, your first move is to close the distance and control the weapon hand. This video breaks down the defense against a side swing, showing how to block, grab, counter with knee strikes, and disarm the opponent.
Defending against a stick attack to the legs requires you to move into the threat, not away from it. I teach a diagonal entry to block the strike, control the weapon, and immediately take it from the attacker. It's about timing and leverage, not strength.
This is a knife defense drill in action. The focus is on simultaneous block and counter. As one student attacks, the other practices controlling the weapon arm while delivering a disabling knee strike to the groin. This is how you train for survival.
A knife to the throat is a worst-case scenario. Here, I'm demonstrating the initial phase of the defense: controlling the weapon hand and creating a small window of opportunity to counter. Every movement must be precise and explosive.
This drill focuses on disarming an attacker who is holding a knife. The technique involves controlling the weapon arm, applying a joint lock, and using a knee strike to break the opponent's posture and resolve. This is advanced, reality-based training.
A stick is a common street weapon. This video demonstrates a technique for disarming an attacker by controlling the weapon and using their momentum against them. The goal is to neutralize the threat and take control of the situation.
This is a stick defense drill. The key is to move off the line of attack and block with the fleshy part of your forearm, not the bone. From here, you control the weapon and counter.
After blocking the stick, the next step is to counter-attack immediately. Here, I'm demonstrating a strike to the attacker's head while maintaining control of the weapon. You must be aggressive to shut down the threat.
This shows a disarming technique where I use leverage to strip the stick from the attacker's grip. It's a fast, efficient move that follows the initial block and counter-strike.
About Weapon Defense: Stick, Knife & Gun
In a real confrontation, you do not fight a weapon—you fight the person holding it. Forget Hollywood moves. If someone pulls a knife or a firearm, you have mere seconds to act. Our training focuses on one core principle: control the weapon arm and create distance immediately. You won't learn fancy spins here; we focus on brutal, instinct-based moves that work when you are under extreme stress, whether you are facing a knife, a stick, or a gun.
When you are in a survival situation, your heart rate spikes and your fine motor skills fail. That is why we do not train in a pristine gym environment. At our CR Park facility, we run drills in limited cooling or dark conditions to simulate chaos. This is not about winning a match; it is about ensuring you go home safe.
We break down the defense process into three phases: redirecting the line of fire, controlling the weapon hand, and counter-attacking aggressively to neutralize the threat. We practice these drills until they become muscle memory. For a stick attack, we teach you to move diagonally into the threat, not away from it, to maintain leverage and control. When facing a gun, we drill redirection and disarming techniques that require absolute precision.
We do not care about style or appearance. Our Krav Maga curriculum includes:
- Knife defense against slash and stab attempts
- Stick fighting and weapon stripping strategies
- Gun disarm tactics for close-quarter threats
- Stress-based pressure testing with multiple attackers
If you are a casual learner expecting comfort, this training is not for you. We work with security teams, law enforcement, and serious individuals who understand that in the field, there are no rules. You will learn to use your environment as a weapon and recognize pre-attack indicators before the situation turns violent. Every technique is stripped of 'showbiz' elements to leave you with raw, effective survival skills.
