About Weapon Defense & Disarmament
In a street robbery or knife threat, your first reaction is not a kick. We teach you to manipulate the attacker's psychology first—acting compliant to create an opening—before executing a high-percentage disarm. This is about survival, not winning a point.
Street-level threats are chaotic and fast. In this module, we move away from traditional martial arts choreography to focus on what actually works against blades and impact weapons.
The Kavach Approach to Disarmament
Our methodology is derived from years of experience in the Indian Armed Forces and with police elite units. When facing a knife threat at the throat, the goal is not to disarm instantly but to create space and manage the attacker's focus. We teach you to control the weapon-bearing limb, redirect the force, and transition immediately to incapacitation or escape.
Why This Matters for Instructors
If you are training to be a Kavach instructor, you need to understand that your students will panic. Our course covers:
- Pressure Testing: We simulate high-stress scenarios where you must make split-second decisions under adrenaline.
- Weapon Awareness: Understanding common carry styles and draw patterns.
- Scenario Management: Handling threats in confined spaces like elevators or narrow hallways, as well as open street environments.
Certification and Safety
All training takes place at our facility at Rise Sports School, Noida. We use non-lethal training knives and equipment to ensure you learn the muscle memory without risk. Our curriculum is recognized by SPEFL-SC and aligns with NSQF guidelines. Whether you are a civilian looking to protect your family or a professional seeking instructor certification, you will leave knowing exactly how to handle a weapon-based assault.
