About Constitutional Law & Human Rights
Why I Do This Work
The Constitution is my north star. I see it as more than just rules - it’s what should protect every one of us, and I’m here to make sure it actually does. Rights like dignity, freedom, and equality aren’t gifts from anyone, they’re what we’re all born with. Justice feels slow, and sometimes harsh, but I keep showing up because real justice is worth fighting for.
What I Take On
I mostly argue cases in the Supreme Court and Delhi High Court. My work’s about making sure people’s rights aren’t just words on paper.
- Gender, Sexuality & Dignity: Whether it’s fighting to scrap the marital rape exception, working for legal recognition of queer families, or challenging systems that blame victims and hold women back, I don’t shy away from tough fights.
- Fundamental Rights Protection: I’ve defended peaceful protesters, students, and activists against sedition and UAPA, and pushed back against hate speech from powerful voices.
- Privacy & Digital Rights: Illegal snooping (like Pegasus) isn’t just gossip - it’s about your right to live without fear of surveillance. Encryption matters, especially for journalists and those at risk.
- Reforming Criminal Justice System: Laws shouldn’t be weapons against dissenters. I’ve stood up for political prisoners and raised my voice against arbitrary detentions.
- Environment & Animal Welfare: Justice means holding polluters accountable and demanding humane solutions for stray animals - not just quick fixes.
- Democracy & Transparency: When I saw the Electoral Bonds scheme as a legal way to hide political money, I fought to get it struck down.
Why It Matters
Justice is slow, sometimes even heartbreaking. But I believe in sticking with it - kaam karte rehna hai, tabhi toh badlaav aayega (we have to keep working, only then will change come).

My Story
I’m Karuna. My fight for justice? It’s in my bones, thanks to my maa, Mita Nundy, who built hope for kids with cerebral palsy when nobody else did. Law is tough, days are long, but my family and my ‘woman and girl tribe’ keep me strong. U2 once sang for me in Mumbai, SRK watched me win an award. Late-night walks at Bangla Sahib, finding peace. I believe in courage, joy, and never giving up. Salaam.

Settle When You Can - For lawyers and clients: be clear, know your facts, and if justice allows, settle your cases.
Commercial Litigation Strategy - I look for the fastest, smartest way to protect your interests—commercial litigation strategy is about results, not drama.
Fighting for the Voiceless - I represent journalists, dissenters, and anyone silenced by unfair laws or abuse. Someone’s got to.
