Environmental justice is a constitutional mandate, not a secondary concern. I work to hold polluters accountable and push for scientific, humane policies that protect both our ecosystem and animal welfare.

India's breadbasket is experiencing extreme temperatures, leading to drought and agricultural damage. This climate emergency is here, and you cannot eat the Electoral Bonds that may have been used to fund projects that worsen it.

I contributed a chapter on "Arbitrating for the Environment" to this book. I believe that using swift and relatively inexpensive arbitration to claim for health damage and environmental remediation can be a powerful tool for a greener world.

A moment of connection between two rhinos in captivity. It is a poignant reminder of the beauty of nature, even when constrained by pollution and a poor environment.

A news report on exploited workers making luxury handbags is a stark reminder to question our values. If someone is impressed by a handbag or a car, are they truly worth impressing at all?

About Environment & Animal Welfare Advocacy

Court litigation is often a slow, expensive path for environmental remediation. I frequently advise clients, including community groups and businesses, to consider arbitration for environmental damage. By utilizing this swifter, cost-effective remedy for health damages and pollution remediation, we can achieve tangible accountability faster than traditional court processes might allow.

Protecting Rights Through Constitutional Law

Environmental law in India is rooted in Article 21, the Right to Life, which inherently includes the right to a clean and healthy environment. My advocacy focuses on bridging the gap between this constitutional promise and the reality on the ground. Whether challenging industrial pollution or demanding transparency from corporate entities, the goal is to shift from reactive litigation to proactive enforcement.

Scientific Animal Welfare Policies

Public discourse around animal welfare is often clouded by emotion or unscientific solutions. My approach is evidence-based. I have argued in the Supreme Court for policies that address stray animal management through scientific, humane methods rather than cruel, ineffective culling practices. True welfare requires systemic, sustainable solutions that respect the dignity of all living beings.

Strategic Advocacy and Arbitration

Beyond traditional litigation, my work involves using creative legal tools—such as international arbitration precedents—to address environmental torts. By documenting health damages and environmental degradation, we can force parties to compensate for real losses and invest in remediation. If you are facing issues related to industrial negligence or need to challenge policies that harm our environment, my chambers provide the strategic assessment needed to identify the correct forum, be it the Supreme Court or the National Green Tribunal.

Why This Matters

Justice in these areas is often delayed or ignored because it challenges powerful interests. My role is to strip away the obfuscation and present clear, constitutional arguments that demand results. Whether you are an activist group or a community affected by environmental harm, I look for the fastest, most effective way to uphold your rights and ensure polluters are held to account.
