Where My Heart Lies: Women’s Rights in Criminal Law

I work on all sorts of criminal cases, but I’m most passionate about supporting women. It’s not always black and white, but I’m here to help you cut through the mess.

• Sexual Harassment at Work: Certified in PoSH awareness, I guide individuals and workplaces to tackle ‘quid pro quo’ (favor-for-favor) and hostile environment issues. Legal support for women facing harassment isn’t just paperwork for me - it’s personal.
• Domestic Cruelty (Section 498A): I know this law well, including how it can get misused. My approach is always fair - whether I’m helping a survivor or someone wrongly accused. Section 498A legal assistance means listening, not judging.
• Acid Attacks & Assault: I actively support the Stop Acid Attacks campaign. These cases break my heart but drive me to fight harder for survivors.

Knowing Your Rights, Always

I don’t just represent you in court. I want you to know your rights, like during a police arrest in India:

• You must know why you’re being arrested.
• Bail is your right if the law allows.
• The police can’t just keep you; they have to bring you before a magistrate within 24 hours.

What Success Means to Me

Vakalat nahi aasan, bas itna samajh lijiye (Being a lawyer isn’t easy, just understand this much). For me, it’s about seeing relief and hope in your eyes when justice is served. That’s the real win.
