About Public Interest Law
My Approach: Law, Equity, and What Drives Me
Dekhiye, public interest law isn’t just a job for me. It’s an inner calling - something I felt after years in courtrooms. Law can’t be only black and white; sometimes, equity has to stand equal. This path means late nights and tough fights, because justice rarely comes easy.
What I Do in Public Interest Law
Most of my work is about making a real difference, not just winning cases. I take up matters with broader impact, mainly through Supreme Court public interest cases. Here’s where I focus:
- Environmental justice litigation: Whether it’s saving rivers or fighting pollution, I push for cleaner, safer communities.
- Constitutional rights advocacy: I stand up for citizens when laws cross the line, especially in landmark cases.
- Anti-corruption legal representation: Going up against big mafias or corrupt officials, I don’t shy away from tough battles.
- Sometimes, the work is pro-bono, especially when the fight is for those who can’t afford it.
Real Stories from My Cases
Representing communities in Rajasthan to save the Jojari river, I saw firsthand how pollution wrecks lives. This case is about accountability - and a damaged lifeline. In another matter, I fought for Kashmiri Pandits’ rights during the Article 370 hearings. When a Delhi citizen took on builder mafia, I was right there, and we got illegal construction demolished. For nearly 900 dental doctors, I argued for their right to work and won protections.
Why This Matters
Our Constitution isn’t just paperwork - it’s the backbone of our country. I believe every institution needs to respect its boundaries. Jab ek institution doosre institution ke power ke andar ghusega, toh desh nahi chalega (If one institution enters another’s territory, the country won’t run smoothly). My aim is to keep that balance, always.

My Story
Ten years in law, and gifting my dad a BMW on his birthday – that hit different. I’m from the Pushkarna community, humare log (our people) always lift each other up, and I try to do the same. My team, my 'Devils', work hard with me. Rahul, my court clerk, got a Bullet for sticking it out and dreaming big. I make documentaries too, like 'The Abandoned Cranes' on Kashmiri Pandit rights. Law for me is about serving, not just winning.
