Beyond the courtroom, justice requires public engagement. This is where I share my work in advocating for constitutional values and pushing for systemic change.

A group photograph at the Supreme Court. It was an honor to sit on a bench for the day to contribute to the court's efforts to settle cases and speed up the justice system where possible.

A moment from my day on the bench at the Supreme Court. The experience provided a valuable perspective on how we as lawyers can be more effective in our arguments: be slower, clearer, and on top of the facts.

I was honored to be named one of India's Most Powerful Women by Business Today. While power and recognition are transient, the feeling of support from my community is what I will always remember.

The cover of the Business Today issue featuring India's Most Powerful Women. I am proud to be in the company of so many accomplished and inspiring women from various fields.

Meeting with former German Chancellor Angela Merkel alongside other women leaders. She was a bulwark against authoritarianism and made the world kinder and more welcoming. Her leadership will be missed.

With the brilliant women of the High Level Panel on Media Freedom. These in-person collaborations and the solidarity of my woman and girl tribe are a source of immense strength.

A surreal moment when U2 dedicated their song "Ultraviolet" to a group of women including myself during their Mumbai concert. As a lifelong fan, I was amazed and deeply moved.

When I received the Crusader of the Year award from Vogue India, Shah Rukh Khan was in the front row. My acceptance speech on Daring Greatly was addressed in part to him, because he embodies that spirit.

A portrait from about seven years ago. The last few years have felt like twenty, so I will embrace the memory of youth and the comfort of the home clothes they let me wear for this shoot.

About In the Arena: Courtrooms, Media & Public Life

When I am not in the Supreme Court, I am often engaging with media or global forums to push for systemic change. This is not just about presence, it is about ensuring that the law stays relevant to real lives. If you are looking for representation that combines rigorous legal strategy with a commitment to constitutional values, let us discuss your case.

The law is not an abstract set of rules to be kept in a library. It is a living, breathing instrument. Whether it is challenging the Electoral Bonds scheme, arguing against discriminatory laws, or navigating complex commercial crises, my approach remains the same: identify the core constitutional questions, strip away the noise, and fight for a concrete remedy.

My work in the media or at international forums—like the High Level Panel on Media Freedom—serves a broader purpose. It highlights the human element of justice. However, the courtroom is where the heavy lifting happens. I focus on actionable litigation, whether it is high-stakes commercial disputes that require a fast, smart strategy or fundamental rights petitions that demand deep constitutional nuance.

I do not believe in long-drawn-out drama. I believe in results. If your case allows for a settlement, that is the first path we explore. If it demands a fight, we prepare to win. My chambers session provides a 90-minute deep dive where we assess the merit of your case and map out the path to a remedy, ensuring you understand the risks and the strategy before we file a single document.
