I love dressing families together. Whether it is matching mother-daughter gowns or comfortable, custom lehengas for your little ones, let’s create outfits that mark your happiest milestones.

It was a pleasure designing this graduation day saree for my precious niece. From her first traditional outfits to this milestone, I'm so grateful to be part of her journey.

This video captures the love and tradition as a mother and her two daughters celebrate in their matching pink and blue ethnic wear.

About this collection

When I design for children, my top priority is comfort. I use soft, pure cotton linings and ensure every outfit includes 4-5 inch growth margins inside the blouse and skirt waist, so your child can wear their special ensemble for more than just one celebration. It is all about letting them play and be themselves while looking perfectly festive.

Designing Memories for the Whole Family

There is something truly special about seeing a mother and child in coordinated outfits. Over the years in my studio in Padmanabhanagar, I have learned that family coordination is not about wearing identical clothes. It is about harmony—using similar fabrics like Organza or Silk, or matching the thread work on a mother's saree to the details on a daughter's Pattu Pavadai.

How We Work Together

When you reach out for family sets, I start by understanding the event. Is it a wedding, a baby shower, or a graduation? From there, we pick a color palette that works for everyone. I create sketches for each ensemble, ensuring the silhouettes are age-appropriate. For the adults, I focus on structure and draping, while for the kids, I focus on movement. We avoid scratchy metallic threads near sensitive areas and always add zipper guards to prevent pinching.

Practical Details for Kids' Outfits

I know kids grow fast. That is why I build longevity into every kid's piece. With growth margins of 4-5 inches, your child can comfortably wear these outfits for at least a year or two. I also include a simple, matching hair accessory made from the same fabric, so you do not have to hunt for the perfect bow or clip.

Whether you are based here in Bengaluru or ordering from further away, I keep you in the loop through every step, from fabric selection to the final fitting. If you have an idea for a matching set or a specific theme, let’s chat about how to bring it to life.

I started Kalasthree 13 years ago, and being part of your family milestones is my greatest joy. Whether it is a matching set for a wedding or a special lehenga for your little girl's birthday, I pour as much love into your child's outfit as I do into yours.
