Wearing a saree feels like wearing a piece of home. That rush you get when you see yourself in the mirror and think, “Naanu Amma thara kanisuttiddene” (I look like my mother) – that’s the feeling I want you to have on your big day. Through Kalasthree, I put my heart into making something that feels just as special to you.

Every bride is different. I listen, I ask questions, I get to know who you are. Whether you want a custom bridal saree with all the traditional vibes or something totally hatke (unconventional), we design it together. Even if you’re sitting in the US or Dubai, we figure it out – video calls, swatches, the works. I’ve done this for brides who only saw their outfit just before their wedding (and yes, sometimes it’s nerve-wracking, but always worth it for that first look!).

Seriously, the blouse is my jam. I obsess over hand-embroidered wedding blouses – think Zardosi, tiny knots, beads, your favourite bird or flower stitched right in. Want puff sleeves or a sheer back? Done. Classic, bold, vintage, modern – I just love the challenge.

My Story
When I catch myself in the mirror, I see Amma’s face and I just smile. Sarees are my thing, like an armour, you know? Kalasthree started when I was 23, and now—13 years later—it’s not just me, it’s my team, my family. We’ve grown together.
