- Fabric Sourcing: Selection of premium raw silk, velvet, or brocade to match existing sarees.
- Customization: Personal consultation to finalize neck depth, sleeve length, and back motifs (bird, floral, or scene-based).
Construction & Fit
- Structure: Princess-cut tailoring with optional high-quality bust padding and fusing canvas for a wrinkle-free finish.
- Comfort: Pre-washed, superior quality cotton lining to prevent shrinkage.
- Adjustability: Concealed side zipper or hook-eye closure with 2-3 inch margins for future size alterations.
Embroidery & Detailing
- Technique: Hand-done Aari or Zardosi (Maggam) work.
- Scope: Ranges from elaborate borders and scattered buttas to full sleeve bridal-style embroidery with cutwork.
- Tassels: Custom-made fabric latkans heavily embellished to match the thread work.

The Ensemble Components
- Skirt (Lehenga): Custom-tailored skirt using Banarasi Brocade, Kanjeevaram Silk, or layered Organza.
- Volume: Includes standard can-can layering for moderate flare and fluffiness.
- Blouse: Designer blouse with elbow-length sleeves and hand embroidery on the neckline and borders.
- Dhavani (Dupatta): 2.5-meter Net, Organza, or Silk drape with finished edges and 1-2 inch embroidered borders.
Workmanship & Fit
- Embroidery: Zardosi, beadwork, or thread work focused on the blouse and dupatta borders.
- Waistband: Custom fit with sturdy hooks and dori tie-ups featuring heavy decorative tassels.
Styling
- Color Theory: Expert consultation on contrasting color combinations (e.g., Parrot Green with Pink) typical of South Indian aesthetics.
- Packaging: Delivered with a garment bag and care instructions.
Bespoke Evening Gown & Indo-Western Sets

My Story
When I catch myself in the mirror, I see Amma’s face and I just smile. Sarees are my thing, like an armour, you know? Kalasthree started when I was 23, and now—13 years later—it’s not just me, it’s my team, my family. We’ve grown together. Designing my niece’s graduation outfit, dressing up brides, being part of those big moments—this is what fills me up. I feel grateful, honestly.
