About A Modern Twist: Indo-Western & Contemporary Wear
My process for these fusion pieces focuses heavily on internal structure. For evening gowns, I use corset-style boning to give you the perfect shape without needing heavy innerwear, while my co-ord sets blend ethnic hand-embroidery with everyday silhouettes so you can actually wear them again. It is all about making the traditional feel comfortable and effortless for your modern lifestyle.
I started Kalasthree 13 years ago because I wanted to create clothes that feel like a second skin, not a costume. When we design your Indo-Western piece, we don't just pick a style from a catalogue. We look at the fabric—Italian crepe, fluid satin, or structured organza—and decide how it should fall on you.
Why a Modern Twist Works
Many clients come to me with a favourite traditional fabric—maybe a piece of silk from their Amma—and ask for something new. I love transforming those memories into jumpsuits, blazer-skirt sets, or high-low gowns.

- Versatile Embroidery: I use Aari or Zardosi work not just on heavy bridal gear, but on cuffs, collars, and waistlines of modern sets.
- Personal Details: Remember the gold gown I did? I hid a tiny embroidered 'Kumbha' motif near the heart. Those are the details that make an outfit yours.
