Coordinated Family Outfits for Weddings and Festivals
Getting the whole family in sync does not mean wearing identical outfits. I love designing coordinated looks that keep everyone’s individual style alive while telling a unified story for your special days.
A beautiful family portrait in coordinated pastel tones. I designed the mother's flowing gown and the son's light blue suit to create a harmonious and picture-perfect look.
A lovely mother-daughter duo. I designed a fully hand-embroidered lehenga for the daughter and a complementary silver-embroidered blouse for her mother's elegant pink saree.
Twinning in style. This mother and daughter are wearing custom blouses I designed to match their beautiful silk sarees for a family function.
Two generations sharing a laugh in their custom pastel outfits. The flowing georgette gown and the elegant salwar suit were designed to complement each other beautifully.
Three lovely ladies dressed in a coordinated pastel palette. Each outfit, from the pleated gown to the embroidered salwar kameez, was tailored to their individual style.
A heartwarming family photo where I had the pleasure of designing the women's pastel gowns, creating a soft and unified aesthetic for their special day.
A solo shot of the beautiful custom-wear gown in a soft pastel blue. The design features a delicate V-neck and fluttery cape sleeves for an ethereal look.
About this collection
Coordinating a family does not mean everyone wears the same colour. I focus on creating a cohesive palette, like matching a son's jacket pocket square to his mom's saree border, or ensuring the fabrics for a father-son duo breathe well for a long wedding function. It is all about the subtle touches that make you look like a team without trying too hard.
When families come to my studio in Jayanagar, they often have the same worry: they want to look coordinated for a wedding or festival, but they are afraid of looking like they are wearing uniforms. My job is to find the common thread that ties your group together without sacrificing personal comfort or individual style.
How We Build Your Look
We start with a conversation about your event. If it is a grand wedding, we might play with shared fabric textures like raw silk or velvet to link the outfits. For a casual festival photoshoot, we might use a shared colour palette, like pairing soft pastels or rich jewel tones across different garment types.
Why Coordinated Outfits Work
- Harmonious Photos: When you look back at your family photos, you will notice how the colours complement each other rather than clashing.
- Comfortable Fabrics: I select fabrics based on the occasion. For a long reception, I recommend breathable cotton silk or organza for kids and men, while using richer, structured fabrics for the main bridal or mother-of-the-bride ensembles.
- Details Matter: I love creating subtle links. A jacket for a man can have piping that matches the embroidery on a woman's blouse. These small details show that you have put thought into your family twinning outfits without it looking forced.
We design everything from custom kurta sets for men and adorable kids festive wear to complex lehengas for women. Since we work by appointment, you get my full attention to sketch out these ideas and select the right materials. Whether you are looking for a classic couple set or a full family ensemble, we make sure every outfit fits perfectly and feels right for your special moment.
