The Grind: Our Training Philosophy

Results don't come from excuses. Whether you're stuck at a speed plateau or struggling with match pressure, this is where we fix your game through consistent, brutal training.

Everyone asks for the secret to bowling fast. There is no secret. It is `lagataar abhyaas`, or consistent practice. You must show up every single day and do the work, even when you don't feel like it. That is the only way.

While you rest, someone else is getting stronger. This is the reality of competitive cricket. Every moment you take off is a moment your competition is using to get ahead.

My inspiration wasn't a famous cricketer. It was the person I had to become: someone from a middle-class family with big dreams, no support, and no guidance, who chose hard work over excuses. This is the spirit I bring to my coaching.

About The Grind: Our Training Philosophy

Before you sign up, understand how I work: we don't start with bowling nets. We start with your biomechanics. If your core is weak or your landing technique is off, no amount of bowling will increase your speed. In our first session at either the Journal Cricket Academy or Pathak100mph Cricket Academy, I fix your fundamentals—specifically your brace leg and non-bowling arm—before we even touch a cricket ball.

My coaching philosophy is simple: results are a product of 'lagataar abhyaas' (consistent practice) and attacking your weakest link first. If you are here looking for shortcuts or a magic pill to increase your speed overnight, this is not the place for you. But if you are ready to put in the work, I will teach you how to train like a professional athlete.

Why We Focus on Smart Training

Most young cricketers waste their time in the gym doing exercises that look good but don't translate to the field. I focus on functional cricket strength. We use bodyweight circuits, explosive medicine ball throws for rotational batting power, and resistance harness drills to fix your run-up force. It is not about how much you can lift; it is about how you move on the pitch.

The Three Pillars of My Coaching

  1. Biomechanics & Speed: We analyze your action to fix issues like wrist collapse and hip-drive, ensuring your bowling is sustainable and fast.
  2. Mental Conditioning: Physical skill means nothing if you choke under pressure. We use scenario-based practice to simulate match stress, teaching you to keep your head in the game.
  3. Injury Prevention: Fast bowling is punishing. We prioritize mobility, flexibility, and hydration to ensure you play longer, not just harder.

Whether you are training for district selection or the Ranji Trophy, my goal is to strip away the excuses and build a cricketer who can perform when it actually matters.

I built my coaching style on the same foundation that got me through my own struggles: no shortcuts and no excuses. My focus is on transforming you into a complete athlete who can handle the mental and physical demands of high-level cricket.
