There is always something new to learn, no matter your age. This video shows our mixed-age group practicing different skills, from kids learning weapon forms and kicking drills to adults refining their techniques. Discipline and passion connect us all.
It is just the beginning for our new batch of kung fu kids in Bangalore. We focus on teaching them foundational kicks and forms, instilling discipline and positive habits from a young age in a fun, energetic environment.
We believe in training together. This clip shows our senior students and kids practicing a coordinated nunchuck and handstand routine. It fosters a sense of community and allows students to learn from one another.
About Training for All Ages
Our sessions are held in functional spaces like community halls or parks, which means we do not have mirrors or climate control. You should be prepared to bring your own mat and focus on the sweat and effort of the practice. We prioritize ground-up learning, where kids and adults train in the same space to build a shared sense of discipline and mutual respect.
My training method, the Martial Yogi flow, is not about finding calm in a studio. It is about building strength through discipline. By mixing Hatha Yoga fundamentals with Kung Fu warm-up drills, we create a high-energy environment that works for anyone, regardless of their starting point.
Why Our Approach Works for All Ages
We do not believe in separating students solely by age. When kids, working professionals, and seniors train together, they learn from the energy of the group. A child’s agility combined with an adult’s patience creates a balanced environment. We focus on:
- Basics and Form: Every movement, from simple sun salutations to complex weapon drills with the Bo staff or Broad Sword, has a specific purpose.
- Practical Self-Defense: Our Kung Fu training emphasizes real-world application, not just choreographed routines.
- Flexibility and Mobility: Through assisted stretches and targeted drills, we help you unlock your body's potential, making this ideal for those who want to improve their range of motion safely.
Training Locations
We run sessions across Mysore and Bangalore. In Mysore, you can find us in Gokulam, VV Mohalla, and on Kalidasa Road. In Bangalore, we conduct classes in JP Nagar, Jayanagar, and Banashankari. We often move between indoor school halls and outdoor parks at sunrise. This variability forces you to adapt, which is the core of true martial arts practice.
