The Martial Yogi Method: Strength, Flow & Kung Fu
We blend the discipline of Kung Fu with the focus of Hatha Yoga. Expect high-energy movement, strength-building drills, and a raw, real approach to fitness that pushes you past your comfort zone.
The air split, or jumping free kick, is a perfect expression of our Martial Yogi philosophy. It requires the flexibility of a yogi and the explosive power of a martial artist. This is the kind of dynamic skill we build through dedicated practice.
Coordination and teamwork are central to our training. Here, you can see our students of different ages practicing a synchronized routine with nunchucks, flowing directly into dynamic handstands. This drill builds rhythm, focus, and group awareness.
We often take our practice outdoors to connect with nature. This session captures the essence of our style: a large group practicing foundational yoga poses, interspersed with students launching into powerful butterfly jumps and aerial kicks against the backdrop of the Mysore hills.
Our training is raw and real. This is an old video from a practice session on a dirt field, showing the grit involved. We work on everything from deep stretches and dynamic movements to practical weapon forms like stick fighting.
About The Martial Yogi Method: Strength & Flow
Our sessions aren't just about holding poses; we integrate Kung Fu warm-up drills to build heat before moving into deep stretches and inversions. Because we train in community settings like parks or school halls, there are no mirrors or air conditioning to hide behind—just you, your mat, and the collective energy of the group pushing to get stronger every single day.
The Martial Yogi Method is built on one simple belief: mastery comes from uniting spirit, strength, and technique. We don't believe in quick fixes or soft sessions. Whether you are in our JP Nagar or Gokulam location, the goal is the same—to wake up and reach your goal.
Our Training Approach
We treat every session as a journey. We combine:
- Martial Arts Conditioning: Using Kung Fu drills to increase stamina and explosive power.
- Hatha Yoga Foundations: Focusing on sun salutations, standing poses, and proper alignment.
- Flexibility & Mobility: We guide you through assisted stretches to unlock full splits and deep backbends.
Why Train With Us?
- A Community of All Ages: Our batches are diverse. You will train alongside kids, working adults, and seniors, creating a unique, shared energy that pushes everyone forward.
- No-Frills Environment: We believe real strength is built without fancy studio equipment. We train outdoors in parks or in functional school halls. It is raw, it is sweaty, and it is effective.
- Weaponry & Form: For those ready to advance, we introduce weapon forms like the Broad Sword and Bo staff to improve coordination and focus.
Whether you are looking to master a headstand (Sirsasana) or simply want to improve your daily mobility, our small-batch and group sessions are designed to meet you where you are and take you further.
