I create functional ceramics meant to be used and loved every day. From wide-rimmed pasta bowls to custom serving platters, each piece is shaped by hand to bring a bit of nature and joy to your dinner table.

A pair of my handmade stoneware pasta bowls against a lovely pink backdrop. The wide rim is perfect for catching any stray sauce, and the speckled grey glaze is both rustic and elegant.

This video shows my first attempt at throwing a chip and dip bowl on the wheel. It's a challenging form, made from a single piece of clay, but so rewarding to create.

The process of creating a hand-built Hamsa platter. Each finger of the hand is a separate dish, coming together to form a unique and meaningful serving piece.

This large, hand-painted bowl with bright orange fruits was made by a student in my 15-day course. It’s such a joyful and vibrant piece.

About Bowls, Plates & Serving Ware

Every serving piece I make is high-fired stoneware, which means they are durable enough for daily use, microwave-safe, and dishwasher-friendly. While I love experimenting with complex glazes and organic shapes, I always ensure the final piece is perfectly weighted for your hands and sturdy enough to last on your dining table.

Making Pottery for Your Daily Rituals

I believe the simple act of eating becomes a different experience when you use something crafted by hand. Whether it is a bowl for your morning porridge or a wide platter for a dinner party, my goal is to make pieces that feel natural and essential in your home.

How I Craft Your Pieces

Depending on what you need, I use two main approaches:

  • Wheel-Thrown: Perfect for pasta bowls, mugs, and uniform serving sets. This gives a clean, consistent shape while retaining that handmade touch.
  • Hand-Building: This is where I can get creative with textures and shapes. If you want a Hamsa platter, an animal-themed dish, or an organic, irregular form, I build these by hand, slab by slab.

Customization & Glazes

My glazes are heavily inspired by the world around us—monsoon skies, beach sands, and forest greens. I use premium imported stoneware glazes that offer beautiful layering and depth. If you have a specific mood board or a color palette from your home interiors you want to match, let me know. We can discuss how to achieve that specific look for your dinnerware.

The Timeline

Pottery is a slow process. Because I fire each piece in a kiln to ensure it is fully vitrified and food-safe, I usually need about 3 to 4 weeks from the moment we finalize the design until the piece is ready for you. This allows time for drying, bisque firing, glazing, and the final glaze firing. It is a slow cycle, but it ensures you receive a piece that will stand the test of time.
