Handmade Stoneware Tableware and Home Decor
I believe that every bowl and vase should tell a story. Here is my collection of functional stoneware designed to bring a bit of warmth and connection to your daily rituals.
A pair of matching rectangular stoneware plates, perfect for serving appetizers or dessert. The simple, clean shape is decorated with a hand-stamped blue floral design, adding a pop of color to your table.
A work-in-progress shot of a chip 'n' dip serving bowl before its first firing. This popular design features a large bowl for chips with a smaller, attached bowl for dip, all in one seamless piece.
A quick tour of some favorite handmade items, including a stoneware butter dish with a unique handle and a small ceramic bell. It’s wonderful to see my creations find their place in someone's home and daily routine.
A close look at the rich textures I create using lace and other materials. These small trinket dishes showcase how different glazes interact with impressed patterns, making each one completely unique.
This stoneware vase features hand-carved vertical lines that add a simple, elegant texture. It's designed to hold a few fresh stems from the garden, bringing a touch of nature indoors.
A collection of small planters and vases, each with its own distinct personality. I used different carving and texturing techniques, from floral imprints to geometric patterns, to make each pot a unique home for a small plant.
A stack of freshly thrown bowls catching the morning sun. This is one of my favorite sights in the studio, showing the simple, beautiful forms before they are trimmed, fired, and glazed.
About For Your Table & Home
You will notice that every plate, bowl, and vase carries its own tiny quirks, like glaze drips or textured lace imprints. These are not defects, but the marks of handmade pottery. Because I use high-fire stoneware, these items are durable enough to handle your everyday kitchen routine, from the microwave to the dishwasher, while still looking distinct on your dinner table.
My approach to the table and home is rooted in 'Clay Conversations.' When I sit at the wheel, I am thinking about how these objects will live in your home.
Why Stoneware?
I choose stoneware because it is robust. Whether it is a Chip 'n' Dip set for a gathering or a small trinket dish for your bedside table, these pieces are made to be touched, used, and held.
The Collection
- Tableware: From 300ml mugs to 5-inch serving bowls, my tableware is designed to be functional art. Each piece is finished with food-safe, lead-free glazes.
- Decor: My vases and planters often feature hand-carved floral or geometric patterns. I glaze the interiors of my planters to ensure they hold water well.
- The Details: If you see a lace impression on a plate or a sunlit gradient on a bowl, know that those textures are intentional. No two pieces are ever identical, which is the beauty of not working with machines.
Custom Commissions
If you have a specific idea for your home or need a meaningful gift, I am happy to work with you. Custom projects, like personalized keepsakes or specific serving sets, require a 2-4 week window for consultation and firing.
Everything is available for pickup at my studio in HRBR Layout, or I can arrange for delivery across Bengaluru.
