Fresh Homemade Gujarati Farsan in Bangalore
Forget pre-made, store-bought snacks. Every batch of my farsan—from soft Khaman to crispy Muthiya—is handmade in my Bangalore kitchen only after you place your order.
This is my soft and spongy Khaman, garnished with mustard seeds, curry leaves, and green chillies. It's a light and savory steamed snack that is a favorite for breakfast or tea time.
Here is my Khatta Dhokla, a tangy and savory steamed cake made from fermented rice and lentil batter. It's a healthy, gluten-free snack that is easy to digest.
This is Handvo, a traditional savory cake made from rice, lentils, and vegetables like bottle gourd. It's baked until golden and is a wholesome, nutritious snack, delivered in convenient foil containers.
A bowl of my crispy fried Muthiya. These are savory dumplings made from chickpea flour, fenugreek leaves, and spices, making for a delicious and crunchy snack.
This is Khichu, a warm and soft dough made from rice flour and seasoned with cumin seeds. It's a simple, comforting, and traditional Gujarati snack, served here in an eco-friendly bowl.

About Freshly Steamed & Fried Farsan
Since I do not keep any inventory, you never have to worry about reheating old snacks. When you order a portion of Handvo or Khatta Dhokla, I prepare it from scratch using fresh ingredients, so it arrives at your door just as it would if it came out of my own home kitchen.
Freshness You Can Taste
Most commercial farsan sits on a shelf or in a freezer for days. That is not how I work. Because I cook everything to order, you are getting the texture and taste that only fresh, homemade food provides. Whether it is a soft, spongy Khaman or a crispy, pan-fried Muthiya, the difference in quality is noticeable immediately.
My Farsan Menu
I offer a variety of traditional Gujarati snacks, all made with simple, wholesome ingredients:
- Steamed Farsan: Soft, fluffy Khaman, tangy Khatta Dhokla, and traditional Khichu. These are light, healthy, and easy to digest, making them perfect for breakfast or chai time.
- Pan-Fried & Baked: Traditional Handvo made with a mix of rice, lentils, and bottle gourd, or crispy Muthiya packed with fenugreek leaves and spices.
- Deep Fried Treats: Bajri Vada and other savory snacks, fried in fresh, single-use oil. I never reuse oil, so you do not have to worry about the health downsides of commercial frying.
How to Order
Because everything is made fresh, I do not maintain stock. If you need snacks for an event, a house party, or just a weekend treat for your family, please reach out at least 24 hours in advance. This ensures I have the time to source the best ingredients and prepare your food properly. You can pick up your order from my kitchen in HSR Layout or have it delivered anywhere in Bangalore.
