Master hurdle and jump technique with expert athletic coaching
From perfecting your takeoff to clearing that first hurdle, we break down complex technical events into actionable steps for athletes of all levels.
We provide expert coaching for jumping events. Here, you can see our athletes working on their long jump approach and high jump technique, focusing on a powerful takeoff and efficient clearance.
Learn hurdles from one of the best. Our coaching team includes a national hurdle champion who provides hands-on guidance to perfect technique and build confidence.
Catch them young. We believe in setting the right technique at a young age. This young athlete is learning the fundamental drills for hurdling, focusing on knee lift and trail leg action.
I am so proud to see these youngsters working hard on their long jump. It's a technical event that requires a combination of speed, power, and precision.
The fear of a little punishment always works. I told them whoever breaks coordination has to do an extra round. It keeps them focused during these hurdle drills.
A simple drill to improve your long jump. This helps athletes practice their takeoff angle and arm action, which are crucial for maximizing distance.
Hurdle drills are for every athlete. They improve sprint mechanics, enhance hip mobility, boost coordination, and develop balance and core control.
About this collection
We don’t just watch you jump or hurdle; we break it down frame by frame. Using slow-motion video analysis, I identify the exact millisecond where your posture slips or your takeoff angle is off. You’ll know exactly which muscle group to target and which movement to fix, whether it's your lead leg action in hurdles or your approach speed in the long jump.
Technical Mastery over Raw Effort
Technical events aren't just about how fast you run. They are about physics, rhythm, and mental control. Whether you are struggling to clear the high jump bar or finding your stride in the hurdles, I focus on the micro-movements that make the difference between a good performance and a great one.
How We Train
- Hurdle Rhythm & Posture: We start with the basics of stride length. If your rhythm is off, your confidence drops. We use specific drills to fix your lead leg action and trail leg mechanics so you can glide over obstacles rather than jumping over them.
- Explosive Takeoffs: In jumping events like long jump and high jump, power is useless without precision. We focus on your approach speed, the final strides, and your vertical projection. I use plyometrics and resistance drills—like drag sleds and parachutes—to build the explosive power required for a clean takeoff.
- Video Analysis: I record your form in slow motion. When you see your own hip flexors struggling or your arm swing dragging you down, you understand the correction immediately. It is not about guessing; it is about seeing.
Training at IIT Delhi and Vasant Kunj
We train on synthetic tracks because that is where the real competition happens. By practicing on standard surfaces, you get used to the reaction time and grip you will need on race day. My goal is simple: I want you to walk onto that track feeling like you have already practiced the win. Whether you are a beginner looking to understand the mechanics or a competitive athlete needing to shave seconds off your time, my academy provides the structure and the scrutiny to get you there.
