This piece, 'AN OLD BODY 2.0,' continues my exploration of age and character in watercolour. I focused on the kind eyes and proud moustache, using the wet-on-wet technique to create a soft, blended effect.

I work exclusively on 100% cotton Chitrapat handmade paper, which absorbs pigment deeply to create those rich, organic textures you see in my gallery. Since these paintings arrive unframed, you will need to get them mounted and glass-framed locally to protect the paper from moisture and dust over the years.

How We Work
Once you share your photo, we pick the right reference. I will then sketch out the composition, focusing on the character and the mood. Please note that all watercolour commissions are delivered unframed. Because these are original paintings on delicate handmade paper, I ship them flat to ensure they arrive safe. Once you receive the piece, I recommend taking it to your local framer for mounting to ensure the glass sits slightly away from the surface of the paper, keeping your portrait safe from humidity.
