About Fondant Figurine Masterclass
You won’t find any moulds in my classes. We focus on the real deal, building internal wire armatures for support, mixing your own custom skin tones, and sculpting facial features that have real personality. It’s a full day of hands-on work where I will guide you through every cut and curve so you can create a character from scratch.
When I teach, my goal is to demystify the process of sugar modeling. Whether you are a total beginner or a home baker looking to add a professional touch to your cakes, my masterclass is designed to give you a solid foundation.
We spend the day at my studio in HSR Layout, focusing on the mechanics of structure. Many people struggle with figurines falling over, but it all comes down to using food-safe wire armatures correctly. We cover how to balance a figure so it stays upright, even in the Bangalore humidity.
The most rewarding part for me is watching students move from feeling unsure to creating a fully formed character. We cover:
- Proportion and Anatomy: How to scale faces, hands, and feet so they look natural.
- Sugar Paste Mastery: Which pastes work best for sculpting versus covering, and how to mix your own colours.
- Facial Expressions: How to use gel colours and tiny brushes to paint eyes that look alive.
- Sustainability: My workshops are eco-friendly, and I teach you to avoid unnecessary waste.
You get all the tools, materials, and a delicious lunch included. You don't need any prior artistic training, just an open mind and a bit of patience. By the time you leave, you will have a finished figurine you created entirely with your own hands.

Hi, I’m Divya. I’m happiest when my hands are covered in fondant, sculpting characters that tell a story. I believe anyone can learn this art, so I keep my classes small, friendly, and completely hands-on. No prior baking experience is required.
