Tango is a language without words—a silent, intense dialogue of weight, breath, and movement. Whether you want to master the embrace or find your personal flow, let's explore it together.

Moments from a Tango festival, sharing the floor with some wonderful dancers. Tango is about the connection you create with your partner in that moment, a non-verbal conversation that is different with everyone you dance with.

A raw practice session exploring the fundamentals of Tango with a partner. This is where the real work happens: building trust, understanding weight transfer, and learning to move as one.

A solo Tango practice video. Before you can connect with a partner, you must first connect with the music and with your own body. These solo drills are essential for building balance, technique, and personal expression.

An improvisation in Milonga, a style of Tango that is typically faster and more rhythmic. This is about finding the joy and playfulness within the dance.

A moment from my Tango journal, exploring the classic "lady in red" trope. This is a color-splash video showing how a simple red dress can change the entire mood of the dance.

Entry number 10 in my Tango journal. Each practice is an experiment, a way to investigate new movements and deepen my understanding of this complex dance.

A festive Tango improvisation. Even during the holidays, the passion of Tango finds its way into my movement, here with a splash of orange and shimmer.

Trying out new dance shoes with a quick Tango indulgence. The right footwear is crucial in Tango, and breaking in a new pair is always a joyful process.

"Rosa's Story," a Tango improvisation for Women's Day. I use dance to tell stories of struggle, resilience, and rising from defeat, like a phoenix from the ashes.

Just because it's Friday! A quick, fun entry in my Tango journal. This is how I celebrate the end of the week, by losing myself in the music.

About Tango: Passion & Connection

The most common mistake is overthinking the feet. In my sessions, we start with the abrazos (embrace) and the weight transfer. It is not about memorizing complex sequences but learning to listen to your partner and the music. Whether you choose a private session to fix your posture or a workshop to understand the group flow, we will focus on what makes the dance feel alive, not just performative.

Finding Your Flow

Tango is pure chemistry. It is the moment you and your partner stop moving as two separate bodies and start breathing as one. This is why I treat every Tango session as an experiment in connection. We work on the foundational tension, the release, and the constant, subtle communication that happens through the dance.

Where We Practice

My Tango work happens across my studio spaces in Bengaluru:

  • Revive Physical Health & Wellness (Jayanagar): Ideal for quiet, focused private work where we can break down technique without distraction.
  • TreeHouse (Indiranagar): Great for group dynamics and exploring the social side of the dance.

What to Expect

  • Private Sessions: If you are nervous about your first steps or need to fix specific habits, a 1-on-1 session is the best place to start. We will cover the mechanics of walking, the embrace, and the 'lead' or 'follow' dynamic.
  • Workshops: Inspired by my time at events like the Tango-Bengaluruthon, these sessions are about community. You will learn to dance with different partners, which is the only way to truly understand the conversation that is Tango.

The Gear

Many students ask about shoes. While you don't need professional gear to start, good footwear is part of the experience. It helps you pivot, feel the floor, and maintain balance. If you are serious about this, invest in a pair that makes you feel confident the moment you put them on.

Come with an open mind. Whether you are coming to escape, to learn, or to feel, there is space here for you.
