About Authentic Bachata Lessons
We use a guaranteed partner rotation system, so you never need to bring a partner to class. You will rotate throughout the session, which helps you learn to adapt to different leads and follows while meeting everyone in the batch.
Bachata is about the music, the flow, and the connection. Unlike styles you might see elsewhere, our classes focus on the authentic Dominican roots of Bachata. This means we start with the fundamentals of footwork, weight transfer, and musicality, rather than just teaching you a set of memorized moves.
If you have never danced before, you are in the right place. We believe that if you can walk, you can dance. Our curriculum is structured to take you from those first shaky steps to confident social dancing. We spend a lot of time on connection drills, sometimes even blindfolded, to help you feel the dance rather than just thinking about the technical steps.
Classes happen at our 3500 sqft studio in Koramangala. The floor is wooden, the air conditioning is on, and the vibe is always supportive. You get 8 hours of contact time in our monthly batches, which is enough to get you comfortable with the basic partner holds and timing. We also keep a 10 to 15 minute window at the end of sessions to record the routine, so you can keep practicing at home.
This is not a school where you get lost in the crowd. It is a family. We host regular social dance nights and festivals, which are the perfect places to put your new Bachata skills to the test in a real setting. Come as you are, we will have a blast.
