Building Foundational Gymnastics Skills for Kids
Every great gymnast starts with the basics. We focus on safe, steady progress in cartwheels, rolls, and balance to help every child build a strong foundation.
Why walk when you can cartwheel? Our beginner's program at the academy is the perfect place for kids of all ages to learn fundamental movements and have fun.
Our intermediate students learning the forward salto. With careful guidance from our coaches and soft landing mats, we ensure they learn new skills safely and confidently.
Here's our youngest gymnast, five-year-old Yuvan, learning the front salto. It shows that with the right guidance, even our smallest athletes can learn advanced skills.
The advanced level is just a mastery of the basics. We drill foundational skills like the back walkover, handstand, and front walkover to build a strong base for every gymnast.
The front tuck salto is a key tumbling skill. Our students practice this move using a springboard and soft mats to perfect their form and landing.
A glimpse into our warm-up sessions. We use a circuit of jumps, tucks, and stretches to get the kids energized and ready for their gymnastics training.
Circuit training is a fantastic way to warm up. We incorporate various stations with hurdles, hoops, and balance beams to improve agility and coordination.
Fun gymnastics for our beginners and intermediate students. We use partner exercises and games to make learning skills like headstands and walkovers enjoyable.
Our coaches guide students through recreational partner exercises. These activities are great for building strength and trust in a fun, interactive way.

About Building Foundational Skills
It is not just about the big flips. Before any child attempts a salto, we dedicate serious time to posture, alignment, and simple balance moves like the arabesque. Our coaches work with students to correct the smallest details in these fundamental poses, because that is where the stability for future advanced moves comes from.
Gymnastics is a sport where every impressive trick relies on a small, solid foundation. At our Panathur academy, we believe that rushing a student into advanced tumbling before they have mastered balance and alignment is not just ineffective; it is unsafe.
Our approach to foundational skills begins with 'Basics Correction.' Whether it is a simple forward roll or the precise arm placement of an arabesque, we break every movement down. We utilize equipment like foam pits and crash mats to ensure that while students are challenging themselves, they are always doing so in a controlled environment.
The curriculum for our beginners is designed to build body awareness. We incorporate games and circuit training—using hurdles, cones, and hula hoops—not just to keep things fun, but to naturally improve agility and coordination without the child feeling like they are doing standard drills.
By the time our gymnasts start working on the trampoline or uneven bars, they have already developed the core strength and spatial awareness required to land safely. We are not just training gymnasts for a competition; we are building strong, confident individuals who enjoy moving their bodies. We welcome everyone to come, watch a session, and see how we grow, one skill at a time. Dhanyavaadagalu to all the parents who trust us with their children's development.
Elite Squad Gymnastics Academy
We are Shivaraj and Mithun, and we built Elite Squad to be more than just a training center. We wanted a place in Bangalore where kids could feel like they truly belong, whether they are taking their first tumble or training to compete. To us, gymnastics is about teaching kids to be strong, independent, and good humans, one session at a time.
