An antique-style Lord Ganesha painting, where the subtle color palette and intricate gold work create a timeless, classic feel. The deep blue background makes the divine form of Ganesha truly stand out.

This is one of our most creative depictions of Lord Ganesha, featuring a radiant, smiling face. The detailed gesso work on the throne and ornaments, combined with a warm, textured background, makes this a truly unique masterpiece.

A classic portrayal of Lord Ganesha seated on a peetam (throne). The deep black background contrasts beautifully with the pure gold leaf embossing, highlighting his divine and powerful form.

Lord Ganesha seated on a lotus, symbolizing purity and enlightenment. This composition is a favorite for pooja rooms, bringing blessings and removing obstacles.

This exquisite painting of Lord Ganesha was created as part of a workshop. It showcases a beautifully textured background and fine gold detailing on the crown and ornaments, demonstrating the rich techniques we teach.

A graceful painting of Lord Ganesha on a grand Peeta, finished with soft watercolors. Sized at 9x11 inches, this piece is perfect for gifting or for a smaller, intimate pooja space.

An antique-style Mysore painting of Lord Ganesha, created with minimal gesso work to preserve a classic charm. The use of warm watercolors and subtle gold accents gives it a timeless elegance.

A creative depiction of Lord Ganesha with ten hands, each holding a powerful Ayudha (weapon). This artwork symbolizes his immense power and ability to protect and bless his devotees.

In this powerful depiction, Lord Ganesha is shown with double embossed arching and intricate gold leaf details. He holds a pasha, or noose, representing his power to bind and remove obstacles from one's path.

We have recreated this popular Lord Ganesha design multiple times for our clients. The composition, featuring a lush forest background and intricate gold detailing, remains a timeless favorite.

About Deities & Divinities

When you look at these paintings, pay attention to the gesso embossing around the crowns and jewelry. This raised 3D texture is what gives these pieces their life and longevity. I use heritage mounting boards specifically to ensure your painting remains beautiful in your pooja room for decades, not just years.

For 35 years, my life has been dedicated to this art form. Mysore painting is not just about aesthetics for me; it is a devotional offering. When I paint a deity, I focus on the 'Satvik' expression in the eyes, which is meant to bring a sense of calm and spiritual connection to your living space.

The Traditional Process

Every painting follows a rigorous, time-tested process:

  • Hand Sketching: I begin by sketching the deity on heritage mounting board.
  • Gesso Work: I apply the traditional gesso mixture to create raised architectural details like crowns, thrones, and arches. This is what gives the art its distinct 3D depth.
  • Gold Leaf Application: Once the gesso is set, I carefully apply 24kt pure gold leaf to highlight the jewelry and divine adornments.
  • Watercolour Finishing: Finally, I use rich watercolors to bring the figures and background to life, capturing those serene expressions.

Customization and Commissioning

I understand that every home has a different requirement. Whether you need a small 9x11 inch portrait for a desk, a medium piece for your pooja room, or a large-scale commission for your wall, I can create it for you. We can work together on the subject, the color palette to match your interiors, and the complexity of the scene.

Because I hand-sketch and hand-paint every commission, I take the time needed to get the details perfect. If you have a specific deity or a mythological scene in mind, please reach out to discuss how we can bring it to life.
