For me, Mysore painting is not just an art - it’s devotion. When I sit down to paint devaru like Ganesha or Lakshmi, it’s like connecting with something bigger. With 35+ years of experience, I want to share this feeling with you, whether you’re a beginner or already dabbling in Indian art.

How I Teach - Kannada + English

I teach all classes live in Kannada - but wait, don’t worry! My daughter Amulya is right there translating into English, so anyone can join. We use a special camera focused on my hands, so every brushstroke and step is clear.

What You’ll Actually Learn

• Start from the basics - swalpa swalpa (little by little)
• Freehand sketching of deities (no tracing!)
• Step-by-step gesso art classes, including the 3D effect for jewellery
• Colouring with poster colours and watercolours - for that soft, elegant finish
• Pure 22-carat gold leaf application
• Final touches that make the painting pop

Getting Started Is Simple

If you’re new, you can pick a pre-sketched board and dive into learning the core Mysore painting techniques. We send an art kit with paints, brushes, gold leaf, and more - you just arrange a pestle and a white ceramic plate.
