About Spiritual & Devotional Art
When I paint spiritual figures, I don't just focus on the image; I focus on the life in the eyes. For these commissions, we will start by discussing your specific deity or spiritual figure, then I spend hours layering acrylics to bring that meditative or powerful presence to life.
Creating devotional art is a responsibility I take seriously. Whether it is a peaceful portrait of Lord Shiva or a more intense, expressive piece like my Kantara study, my goal is to capture the essence of the subject through layers of high-quality acrylic paint on canvas.
My Process
When you commission a spiritual piece, we start with a conversation. You share the specific deity or spiritual figure you want represented, along with any particular emotion or mood—peaceful, fierce, or meditative—that you want the art to convey. I use a grid sketching method to ensure the proportions are perfect before I lay down a single drop of paint.
I build the image through thin, deliberate layers. This is why these pieces can take anywhere from 60 to 100 hours. This slow, methodical approach allows me to work on micro-details like the glint in the eyes or the flow of hair, ensuring the final result has depth and realism. I use heavy body acrylics on stretched cotton canvas, which provides a professional, gallery-ready finish.
Staying in the Loop
You will never have to guess how your commission is coming along. I share regular work-in-progress updates, so you see the art evolve from the initial outline to the final highlights. Once the painting is finished, I apply a protective varnish to seal the colors and protect the surface against light and dust. You get a piece of art that is ready to hang, shipped safely to your door.

I'm Neha, and I believe art is about connecting deeply with the subject. For devotional commissions, I take the time to study the symbolism and expressions before I even touch the canvas, ensuring the final piece feels as soulful as you envisioned.
