My Sitar journey is deeply rooted in the Imdadkhani Gharana tradition, emphasizing the Gayaki Ang, or vocal style of playing. Every performance is an offering—a chance to explore the expansive possibilities of a Raag. I maintain a strict standard for my engagements: I do not perform solo in isolation. To capture the full rhythmic architecture of Hindustani classical music, I am always accompanied by a professional Tabla artist. This ensures that the dialogue between the Sitar and the Tabla is present in everything from high-energy fusion sets to slow, contemplative Alaap recitals.
Beyond the stage, I view education as a critical pillar of my work. My lecture-demonstrations for schools and institutions are designed to demystify the structure of Taals and Swaras, bridging the gap between historical tradition and the modern listener.
