About Music Education & Workshops
I’ve spent most of my life with the Sitar in my hands, soaking in everything my Guru shared and chasing that feeling of being totally lost in music. For me, teaching music is about passing on that experience, not just techniques.
What I Offer
- I run interactive music workshops—think of them as part jam session, part conversation. Always live, always with a Tabla artist by my side.
- Sessions are usually for students and young folks, but honestly, anyone curious is welcome.
- I break down the tough stuff: how Raags set the mood, why Taals matter, what goes behind the sound. No jargon, just real talk and playing.
- Lot of Q&A, and I encourage everyone to ask whatever comes to mind. It keeps things lively and less like a boring lecture.
- I also teach Sitar to those who want to really get into it. It’s slow, sometimes frustrating, but if you’re patient, you’ll find it rewarding.
Where & How
- Mostly in Delhi-NCR, but I travel for workshops across India. Have played and taught at schools, colleges, and cultural events everywhere from Punjab to Kerala.
- Every session is with a live Tabla, so you get the full vibe—not just a solo act.
If you want a genuine Indian classical music appreciation session or are thinking of Sitar learning classes, this is for you. The journey is never easy, but it’s always worth it.

My Story
Namaskar, I'm Dhruv Bedi. Sitar is not just an instrument for me, it’s family, it’s legacy. Learnt first from my father, then dived deep into the world of classical music. Awards? Haan, mil gaye (yeah, got some), but they just remind me to keep the music honest. I love performing, teaching, and mixing old-school raags with new-age sounds. Schools, festivals, home gigs – I’m always up for sharing some real music.
My Work
Sitar Performances & Collaborations - I play solo recitals, jugalbandi, and Sitar fusion collaborations for events, festivals, and house concerts.
Fusion & Folktronica - Rooted in Hindustani raag recital, but I also do folktronica sitar performance and lofi Bollywood sitar tracks.
Workshops & Lecture-Demos - I run classical music workshops, often in schools, to connect young folks to Indian classical arts.
Performance Approach - Each gig’s different - whether it’s pure alaap-jhala or a high-energy fusion, I keep it authentic and expressive.
