Boxing is tough, but you don't have to do it alone. At my academy, we mix high-intensity conditioning with team challenges to keep the energy high and the spirit alive.
On Game Days, we switch things up with team challenges. Here, you can see the two teams giving their all in a game of tug of war, a great exercise for building total-body strength and teamwork.
About Group Spirit & Game Days
We don't just stand around hitting heavy bags. When we do tug of war or relay drills, the goal is functional strength and real teamwork. It’s loud, it's sweaty, and it’s about pushing each other to get better every single session.
Boxing is an individual sport inside the ring, but training for it is a team effort. At Delhi Rural Boxing Academy, we break the monotony of repetitive drills with game days and group activities. Whether it is tug of war using heavy ropes or high-speed relay runs, these sessions are designed to build stamina and mental toughness together.
Why Group Training Works
- Functional Strength: We use tractor tires, ropes, and natural body weight. These aren't just for show; they build the kind of raw power you need for a fight.
- Motivation: When you are tired and want to quit, seeing your partner push through a drill makes you find that extra gear. That is where I shout, 'Thoda aur, thoda aur!'
- Real Conditions: We train in a semi-open shed. There is no AC and no mirrors. You get real air, real heat, and real sweat. This is how we prepare athletes for competitions like Khelo India.
This setup is perfect for anyone who finds a regular gym boring. We are a family here. Boys, girls, juniors, and seniors train on the same floor, supporting each other. If you are ready to work hard and want to be part of a team that celebrates every small win, you will fit right in.
