Pricing Guide
Monthly Functional Kung-Fu Training
Schedule & Venues
- Frequency: Options range from weekend-only access (approx. 8 sessions) to full weekday cycles (20+ sessions).
- Duration: Sessions run for a strictly timed 60 to 90 minutes.
- Locations: Outdoor venues including sandy grounds in Teynampet, school courtyards, or Blue Lagoon Beach Resort in Neelankarai.
Workout Structure
- Martial Calisthenics: High-rep bodyweight work including knuckle push-ups, planks, and deep horse stances (Ma Bu).
- Cardio Kickboxing: Drills involving roundhouse kicks, front kicks, and punches into the air or against focus pads.
- Mobility: Introduction to animal-style movements like Praying Mantis for core rotation and flexibility.
Training Environment
- Conditions: Non-AC setting exposed to natural heat, humidity, and uneven terrain like sand or turf.
- Format: Large group classes (15+ students) conducted with military-style drilling and loud command counts.

- Commitment: A 3-month lock-in period designed to ensure attendance consistency.
- Monitoring: Monthly physical assessments using manual tape measurements (waist, arms) and weight checks.
- Nutrition: Master-led advice on traditional dietary restrictions and habit changes rather than clinical meal plans.
Beach Conditioning
- Sand Resistance: Mandatory weekend sessions at Neelankarai or Mamallapuram beaches.
- Caloric Burn: Running and kicking drills performed in loose sand to increase energy expenditure and ankle stability.
- Endurance: Extended duration continuous movement drills designed to maintain heart rates in the anaerobic zone.
Accountability
- Oversight: Direct motivation and strict attendance tracking by the Sifu.
- Core Focus: Heavy emphasis on abdominal conditioning with leg raises and situps performed on rough terrain.

How I Do Fitness & Wellness
I believe results come from focus. I use Kung Fu discipline to help you get fit, strong, and more confident. This is a mind-body wellness routine, not your usual gym setup.
Not Just a Gym Session
No boring treadmills. My program is all about martial arts fitness classes. We mix traditional Kung Fu moves, modern conditioning, and drills that actually make you stronger in real life. You’ll learn to control every part of your body and your breath.
What Happens in Class
Classes are high energy and strict, but we train as a team. We start with stretching and flexibility. Then it’s synchronized drills - punches, kicks, blocks. I’ll be shouting counts, getting everyone moving together. After that, we work on functional strength training using Kung Fu stances, push-ups, planks, and then hit the bags and pads for power and cardio.
More Than Just Muscles
Of course you’ll get stronger and shed kilos, but for me, 'Tharkappukkalai enbathu suvasathin ozhukkam' (Self-defense is the discipline of breathing). This training builds your mental focus and courage - 'nenjsam nimitrum payirichi' (practice that gives courage). The confidence you gain here, you’ll take everywhere.
Who Can Join
Anyone - men, women, kids, beginners, people coming back after years. I’ve seen students surprise themselves, even after decades away. We support each other like a family.
Where We Train
Training isn’t stuck in one place. We use our indoor dojo, open grounds, and sometimes even the beach. Keeps it fresh, keeps it real.

My Story
We are Core Power Kung Fu Academy. Been around for 20 years, started out on Mamallapuram beach. Discipline runs in our blood – my brother’s a cop, I’m here coaching. This place is family, not just an academy. Watching students get their belts or win tournaments, pure joy. We do ‘Kootaanchoru’ (community meal), plant trees, keep it real. Martial arts for us? It’s about character, not just fighting. Shaping futures, facing fears, walking straight. That’s our vibe.
My Work
Martial Arts & Kung Fu Training - We teach Kung Fu, martial arts, and Bo Staff training for all ages. Classes are open to everyone.
Self-Defense & Wellness - Special self-defense classes for women and kids, plus fitness and wellness coaching. Courage and discipline matter here.
Belt Grading & Tournaments - Regular belt grading events, certificates, and national/state tournaments. We celebrate every win.
Community & Character Building - More than training – we host community meals, tree planting, and focus on building character for life.
