High-Energy Kung Fu Group Training Drills
Forget the treadmill. We train as one unit, moving together with precision, sweat, and intensity. Join the squad.
The power of group training in our Bangalore branch. You can hear the energy as I call out the counts, pushing everyone to perform with precision and strength. This is how we turn individuals into a disciplined unit.
Respect is the first lesson. Here, students in our Brown and Black Belt test bow to each other, a fundamental practice that instills discipline and humility at the start and end of every training session.
A wide view of our combined belt test, with students of all levels performing kicking drills in unison. Training outdoors like this builds resilience and adaptability.
Students execute a synchronized form during a combined belt test. Notice the focus and shared energy, which is a hallmark of our group training method.
An incredible display of flexibility and power from one of my students during a belt test. This high kick is the result of consistent practice, conditioning, and dedication to the art.
I lead the class through a sequence of blocks and stances. Following my lead, students learn to internalize the movements, making them second nature. This is a typical outdoor session focused on fundamentals.
I oversee a class of students arranged in disciplined rows. My role is to observe, correct, and ensure every student is maintaining the correct form and focus during our drills.
A student demonstrates a strong, low stance during a public demonstration at the Happy Streets event. This foundational posture is key to generating power and maintaining balance in Kung Fu.
This video shows our Bengaluru branch students during a belt test and grading. You can see a mix of warm-up exercises and form practice, showing the preparation it takes to advance.

About Group Training Drills
When I shout 'Ready, go!', the entire class must move as one. This synchronization is not just for show; it is how you develop reflexes and build the mental focus that carries over into your daily life. We don't use machines here because your body weight and the resistance of the ground—whether it is sand in Neelankarai or turf in Teynampet—are the only tools you need to build true, functional power.
Training with the Academy
My classes are built on the foundation of synchronized movement. When you train in a group, you cannot hide. You are accountable to the person standing next to you, and that shared energy pushes you harder than a solo workout ever could.
The Workout Structure We focus on 'Martial Calisthenics' to build a solid foundation. You will be doing:
- Knuckle Push-ups: To harden your fists and build wrist stability.
- Deep Horse Stances (Ma Bu): To forge strong legs and an unshakable core.
- Synchronized Drills: Punches and kicks executed in unison to the count, ensuring every student maintains form and intensity.
Why We Train Outdoors The environment is part of the challenge. Training on uneven terrain like sand or natural grass forces your body to adapt. It engages your stabilizing muscles and improves your balance in ways that flat gym floors cannot.
Our Philosophy For me, 'Tharkappukkalai enbathu suvasathin ozhukkam' (Self-defense is the discipline of breathing). You will learn to control your breath even when the drills are intense. This is 'nenjsam nimitrum payirichi' (a practice that gives courage). The goal is not just to build muscles, but to shape a character that faces fear and walks straight. Whether you are a beginner or looking to advance your belt level, you step into our dojo as part of a family, not just a student.
