About this collection
Our #BiomeResurrect service gives new life to your old, stained, or faded clothes using natural over-dyeing and eco-printing. Instead of discarding your favorite natural fiber garments, we help you transform them into one-of-a-kind pieces, reducing waste and honoring the energy already spent on the fabric.
At Color Ashram, we believe fashion shouldn't cost the earth. This featured collection showcases our commitment to slow fashion, community learning, and radical transparency.
The Art of Natural Dyeing
We use our patented Amrit Dye, a one-step formula that combines dye and mordant to reduce water consumption and chemical usage. Whether you are browsing our organic cotton yoga wear or looking for custom design solutions, every piece is colored using plant and mineral sources like indigo, madder, and pomegranate peel.
Hands-On Learning for Everyone
We have designed 15 modules to make learning natural dyeing accessible.
- Beginner: Our DIY kits provide everything you need to start at home, including standardized natural pastes and practice fabric.
- Intermediate: Guided online sessions where you learn at your own pace with instructor support.
- Advanced: One-on-one residential training at our Mysuru center for those serious about professional application and production.
Conscious Upcycling
Got a wardrobe full of clothes you no longer wear? We specialize in reviving natural fiber garments like cotton, linen, and silk. Our team uses manual resist techniques like Shibori and eco-printing to hide stains and create unique patterns. Please note that for the #BiomeResurrect service, we only accept natural fabrics, and the process requires 7 to 14 days to ensure proper color fixation and quality.
Color Ashram
I'm Namrata, and this is Color Ashram. We are a space in Mysuru where art, theatre, and ecology meet. We spend our days staining our hands with plant dyes, teaching anyone willing to learn, and proving that slow fashion is not just possible, but beautiful.
